The villa lies at 500 meters from the village of Villa Collemandina in a beautiful hilly area of Tuscany (50 Kms northern of Lucca). The location on an altitude of approximately 550m, grants a very pleasant and not to hot climate also in the summer. From the property you have fantastic panoramic views on the Apuan Alps. The property is an excellent destination for a relaxing holiday and visit the Garfagnana area with it charming villages, great scenic drives, walking-hiking (we suggest in the Orecchiella Natural Park) and other outdoor activities. It’s at the same time a good starting point to visit Pisa, Lucca and for a day at sea (the Versilia Riviera is 60 kms away). The main nearby town is Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (at 9 kms) and has many restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, supermarkets and weekly open market on Thursday. The whole property (house, pool and garden of 800sqm) is for private use of the tenant (not shared with any other person). It has an own garden (mostly lawn) and a 10 by 5 meter pool (depth 1,4 meter). There are also a barbecue and a stone oven to cook. There are table and chairs to eat outdoor under the shadow of the big tree (with panoramic view and sight on the pool). The villa is suitable for max 8+1 persons, all the bedrooms are on the first floor. It's possible to add a folding bed in one of the bedrooms. Baby cot available. On the ground floor there is a large dining room/kitchen with a well equipped kitchen, living/dining room, bathroom (shower, toilet). On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms (two with double bed and two with 2 single beds), bathroom (shower, toilet) and a covered terrace. Wi-fi internet connection available. All common household appliances are available (washing machine, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, TV, oven). Grocery store, bar/restaurant La Bottaga and pharmacy are available in the village of Villa Collemandina, at walking distance (around 350 meters) from the property. There is a supermarket at 1,3 kms. More shops and restaurants are available in Castiglione di Garfagnana (2,5 kms far away) and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (9 kms). Here is also big supermarket (open every day from 8:30 to 20:30 and on Sunday from 9 to 20) near Gallicano (18kms from the villa). The golf course of Golf Club Garfagnana is 9 kms far away. Tennis lane and horse riding at 3 kms. It is a good point of departure point to visit cities such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence and many other small villages and on the other side for a day to sea (on 56 km distance) or in the mountains (the mountain of Abetone 1400-1900 meters high is 46 Kms far away).
There are 2 wineries at 13km from the property, Cantina poderi di Garfagnana and Cantina Bravi Alesssandro.
