Within walking distance of downtown Tahoe City, Commons Beach, and the golf course, and just a ten minute drive to Palisades Tahoe, this three bedroom, three and a half bath vacation home is a great choice for families and groups looking to enjoy Tahoe year-round. In the summer, walk to Commons Beach for swimming, summer concerts, and the popular farmers market, or explore the shops, restaurants, and waterfront attractions of Tahoe City. In the winter, enjoy easy access to world-class skiing and snowboarding at Palisades Tahoe, formerly known as Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.
Inside, Fairway Favorite features a bright, open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, large windows, and plenty of natural light. The spacious living room offers comfortable seating and a wood-burning fireplace, creating a cozy place to relax after a day of skiing, hiking, biking, or exploring Lake Tahoe. Commons Beach is Tahoe City's four acre public park on the lake, popular for sunbathing, swimming, and picnicking. Group picnic sites and children's playgrounds are located within a large lakefront grass and sand area. Bike and watercraft rentals are available within walking distance of the beach.
During the ski season, you are just 15 minutes from Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows) which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.

We love this rental, it is very clean, cozy, and has all the amenities you could need. It is also wonderfully decorated and shows the owner's travels. It is located within walking distance to the truckee river bike trail and the Safeway. Super conveinent!

This is our 2nd stay at Faurway Favorite. This house is spacious, comfortable and clean. The deck and movie room make this home feel extra special. It is well equipped with everything you'd need in the kitchen. I can't wait to come back!

Unfortunately, we were not as happy with the stay as last time we rented with Tahoe Getaways. The home was not very clean upon check in at 4pm. Cleaner left trash in the bear bin, the floors were dirty and I had to vacuum and clean them as well as scrub the dirty kitchen counter tops on day one. Not enough towels so we had to do multiple loads of laundry throughout the week. The game shelves were a mess with puzzle and game pieces loose on the shelves. The TV in the main room had no remote so unable to work and luckily we brought our own apple tv to hook up.
We loved the location but not the lack of parking. Before I made the reservation, I spoke with someone in the office and she said that the woman that ski leased it last year parked extra car at Savemart with no problem. Well there are signs all over that parking lot that say 1HR parking.
Don't feel it was worth $5k for the week.
