Remarkables Retreat 1 is your perfect alpine getaway. With a tranquil outlook over the Lake Wakatipu and Frankton walking track, its location in the Remarkables Retreat hamlet is near the heart of town.



The Space:

Positioned above the waterfront of Lake Wakatipu, Remarkables Retreat 1 is a practical and well-located apartment offering genuinely stunning lake and mountain views. Comfortable and functional rather than flashy, it’s a great-value option for families or larger groups wanting to enjoy Queenstown without paying premium rates.



The upstairs living area is open plan, combining the kitchen, dining, and lounge spaces, all framed by large windows that take in the impressive outlook across the lake and surrounding ranges. It’s a comfortable place to relax after a day out, share meals, or plan the next day’s adventures.



Balcony access is via the dining area and is now fully available for guest use as of December 2025, with bi-fold doors opening onto the balcony to create an easy indoor–outdoor flow and an alfresco feel, all with that same spectacular outlook.



Step outside the building and you’ll find the Frankton Walking Track right on your doorstep — ideal for an easy lakeside walk or a stroll to the Marina for coffee or breakfast.



Parking is provided with one garage suitable for a small to medium vehicle, plus one outdoor space in front. Please note that during winter months, an all-wheel drive or 4WD vehicle is required to safely access the driveway.

Spread over three levels, this apartment is well suited to families or larger groups.

The master bedroom with ensuite and the shared bathroom are both located on the middle level, with an additional separate toilet on the lower level.

-Bedroom 3: 1 x King bed (can be split into 2 singles on request) plus 1 x bunk set (double below, single above) – lower level

Other Things to Note:

As Queenstown is an alpine town, many of our properties have steep driveways. This home also has a single garage so you will need to be a competent driver particularly if you have an SUV/minivan/people mover.

View and location was amazing. Checking was great. Wi-Fi great. We all were dissapointed the the verandah but shut off for maintenance and although was noted in the fineprint we didn't see this highlighted when we booked and it was a feature photo advertised Also cooking appliances (pans etc) in desperate need of replacing and need a new cleaner. Inches of dust on furniture. Still enjoyed the stay despite a few negatives.

The property was nice and good location however the kitchen crockery had quite a few chips on the plates and cups. The kitchen cookware was small when the property caters to sleep 11. The wifi would not hook up easily and in the end only had 2 devices able to get connected. The set of drawers in 2 of the bedrooms were broken. The dryer did not work great. The glass top coffee table was not secured on making it a little hazardous with children. The rubbish situation was strange as there was wheelie bins at the front door but not able to use and had to remove own rubbish and take recycles to recycle centre, when staying for a week with 9 people would have thought would be able to put rubbish in the bins. The property overall was not as clean as would have expected, blinds and windows dirty. Beware when booking through a third party as they add on quite a percentage to the rate.
