Sunset Retreat Lodge with Hot Tub

High spec accommodation in a lovely quiet village on the coast. Everything you could need was provided and a great pub nearby (The Steamboat Inn) for meals with excellent fish specials. As well as the accommodation with large hot-tub, you get access to a beach cabin to enjoy the views over the Solway Firth. Nearby Farm Shop (Loch Arthur) for deli style treats plus great local walks along the coast or up over nearby Criffel hill. New Abbey also nearby with abbey ruin and tea-shop to visit.

Nothing. Ideal peaceful break

Everything! There was nothing not to like. The lodge was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was peaceful and tranquil and we only wish we had booked a longer stay.

So easy to find. Dedicated parking. Spotlessly clean. Really well appointed. Gorgeous views. Set in a stunning garden. Pub nearby. Loved the summerhouse. Comfiest beds

Sofas are lovely but not that comfortable. Hot tub bubbles weren’t that powerful

Lovely little hut and we had fantastic weather,which really helped as we spent a lot of time outside,dogs were welcome and right on the beach.For me personally,it felt very strange staying in the owners back garden!! ,but the hut was very clean,hot tub was set up ready to use,the beach hut was lovely and overall nothing is missed right down to the swans made from the towels. The only downsides are it's quite away from everything,there is one pub but you need to book if you want to eat there and there is no local shop for milk etc. Overall a very relaxing place
