About this house rental
Beautifully updated Classic Craftsman home with plenty of room to relax and entertain after exploring all of the fun that the City of Flushing has to offer.
The idyllic covered front porch welcomes guests. Wave to the friendly walkers who greet you from the sidewalk. The porch has chairs and a wide railing for seating whenever gathering outside. An elegant guest powder room is available just inside the house.
The living room, with fireplace and 4k TV flows into the music room and formal dining room. The refinished wood floors, windows, trim, and crystal chandelier are original from 1933 and are meticulously maintained.
The updated kitchen has thick slab granite counters, custom Canadian tin tile backsplash, large commercial stainless steel sink with magnetic wand faucet. The newer Kitchen Aid appliances feature a 5 burner gas cooktop and oven grilling option, refrigerator with filtered water and ice dispenser, a quiet dishwasher, and a microwave with multiple settings. There is an informal seating area in the kitchen to chat with the cook. The back deck provides flexible space for gathering , dining, and is perfect for grilling on the Weber Genesis propane gas grill (back up tank is in the garage), or just relaxing.
Do you have someone not interested in climbing stairs to get some sleep and shower? The main floor bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with real Italian Carrera marble and an oversized shower with handheld and rain shower options.
The second story is truly luxurious. At the top of the stairs, French doors open to the Grand Suite with a newer King size bed and Purple mattress with storage underneath and side matching tables. Ample size room accommodates a writing table, chairs, dresser and 4K TV. There is a large Elfa customized walk-in closet that can store whatever you have. Closet has an iron, ironing table and antique suit stand for your use.
The 'OMG' bathroom shower. Say 'ahhh' when stepping under the over-sized rain shower which can accommodate two or more at a time. There is even seating for two in the shower. The mirrors and two sinks in the wide vanity make getting ready a breeze.
The third oversize bedroom is upstairs, down the hall, includes two newer Queen beds and newer mattresses that can accommodate 2-4 people and another 4k TV. Find a set of full-length closet door mirrors and vanity in the oversized closet. The east windows have black out shades for late sleepers and the oversized closet has plenty of hanging space and includes toys for children, if needed. The hall bath has a tub/shower component with linen closet stocked with additional towels and supplies.
Something new this year is the game room/storm room/quiet space in the full size, updated basement! The air mitigation system keeps the air fresh at all times. The fully stocked laundry room with 2 clothes washers and dryers and folding is available to all.
4 off-street parking spots.
There are 3 bicycles in the garage for your use. One is a two seater tandem. If the tires are low on air, you can get them filled up at the gas station half a block away. The oversized tricycle with rear basket is perfect for shopping around town.

The host was quick to answer my questions, the home was in a great area and easy to find. The home is very nice and homey. The room with a table and records was a great place to hang out and the bedrooms and bathrooms were amazing. Highly recommend a shower in one of the great rain showers!

Excellent layout, amenities and location. We enjoyed our stay. The only problem we had was arriving late at night using wrong entry code given in the paperwork, but we manage to call the owner and was given the correct entry code.
