About this house rental
On the Swedish west coast, 35min north from Gothenburg and 25min south from Marstrand, on the island "Lilla Fjellsholmen", is this exclusive holiday home with wonderful sea views. The location is perfect for a week's relaxing holiday with family or friends in the archipelago. You can go swimming, crab fishing, sunbathing on the docks or just just relax on the terrace. For kids, there is a small beach, green play areas, a playground and a lot of things to discover. There are two marinas and an amazing shared sauna on the dock with direct access to the ocean (open all year around, if you dare).
LENGHTS OF BOOKINGS
During the summer period (May-Oct) the house is rented by the week, Saturday to Saturday. You can only book 1 week online but it is also possible to book 2 weeks (or more) if you contact the host before.
During the rest of the year (Nov-April), minimum booking is 4 nights and longer periods are also possible (contact the host if not possible to book online)
HOW TO GET THERE
It takes about 1h to drive from the Gothenburg Airport Landvetter. There is a short private bridge to reach the island. There is a also public bus stop just off the island, but it is more convenient arriving by car.
TO DO AND TO SEE
You are close to the world-famous sailing and seaside resort Marstrand, with its wide range of restaurants, boutiques and a rich entertainment scene. 25min by car or 20min by boat (5NM).
It takes only 35 minutes by car to Gothenburg with Liseberg Amusement Park and everything else you would expect to find in a big city.
Within a short drive there are also two golf courses and a small town with a grocery shop, pizzeria and Thai take-away. (There are no restaurants on the island or within walking distance.)
There are also good fishing opportunities around the island, and it is not unusual that seals are showing (if you are lucky you might even see one from the house).
THE HOUSE
The house was built in 2018 and is fully furnished and equipped.
The house is 108 m2, has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large mezzanine, a combined kitchen/living space, two parking spots, furnished terraces in all directions. and space for one medium size motor boat in the marina.
You will have the whole house for yourselves. There is also a small guesthouse on the property that is not included in the rental.
OTHER THINGS TO KNOW
There is a hot tub (wood burner heated) on the terrace which is not included in the rental because of the fire hazard when there is no snow on the ground.
