About this villa rental
Unique position, fantastic view, Villa la Ruga is a lakefont property situated in Argegno, just 20 minutes from Como.
On the ground floor:
Spacious living room typified by arched glass doors, 180° lake views, TV, DVD player, audio system, stone fireplace and drinking area with direct access to the garden.
Kitchen provides all facilities: oven, gas hob, espresso machine, coffee machine and dishwasher. Direct access to the main terrace.
Service bathroom for guest to use.
On the mezzanine floor.
Master double bedroom with bathroom in-suite, private balcony and an idyllic 180° lake view.
On the upper floor.
Two areas, each comprised of one double and one single bedrooms with own bathroom suites, offer privacy and luxury accommodation to family or groups of friends. Elegant furniture, parquet flooring and direct access to the terraces.
Outside.
A private garden provides an ideal place for relaxing on the sun , the bocce field allow to enjoy your extra time. The main terrace, upper the lake with a 180° lake view, is ultimate as alfresco dinning area. The boathouse offers a direct access to the lake and a private use of the boat.

Wi-fi access, washing machine, bed linen, towels, BBQ, final service charge.

Next to the Villa.
Argegno, just five minutes walking the little village offers restaurants, cafes, bars, Pizzeria, grocery shop and a passenger ferry service. Cable railway takes visitors to Pigra, a balcony on the lake, ideal to start walking tours. Argegno is connected to all the beautiful pearls of the lake by a public transport: Bellagio, Villa Carlotta (botanical garden), Villa Balbianello. Argegno is 25 minutes driving from Menaggio, with is famous Lido, and cars/passengers ferryboat which takes visitors to the other famous Golden triangle towns of Varenna and Bellagio. In 20 minutes you can reach Como town which offers high street shopping, cafes, bars and restaurants. The famous Duomo, Volta Museum, Palazzo Broletto, Villa Olmo with its year round art and musical events are just some of the place that you can visit. On the way to Como you can stop to the lakeside towns of Carate Urio, Laglio and Cernobbio with their peaceful charm and elegant villas and gardens can be explored at your leisure.
Night life on the lake: Lido di Lenno, Lido di Bellagio, clubs and bars of Como offer music and fun until the morning.

**A Magical Stay on Lake Como!**Our stay at Francesco’s beautiful house on Lake Como was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Francesco was the perfect host—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to explain every detail of the house, making us feel right at home.We didn’t have to worry about transportation at all, as everything was arranged for us. Francesco organized a private boat ride on the lake, which was an absolute highlight of our trip. He even set up a personal chef for us, so we could enjoy delicious, authentic meals right at the house.Every morning, we woke up to a delightful surprise: breakfast wrapped like a gift, waiting for us on the outside table. It was such a thoughtful touch and made our mornings extra special.The house itself is stunning, with breathtaking views and all the comforts you could wish for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t recommend this place—and Francesco as a host—highly recommend!!

This villa vacation is one that will stay forever in my memory .. the most fantastic location on Lake Como with the most perfect of hosts who was helpful from beginning to end and helped make a milestone birthday celebration memorable and fun.Was difficult even leaving the villa every day as the view there was hard to top. It is just a short boat ride to celebrity homes and I would still prefer the location of this one for privacy and pure views!Don’t stall - Book it. Life is short and we are worth the occasional splurge. This one is 100% worth it!

Look no further. This Lake Como villa was a dream! Host, Francesco’s hospitality was above and beyond! The villa is everything the photos show & more! The views are spectacular & town of Argegno is so quaint! Umberto prepared the most delicious birthday dinner with the help of Claudio. Must do! Paolo’s boat tour of the lake was so wonderful, with stops at Bellagio & Varenna! We can’t wait for our return! Ciao Francesco, until next time!!
