very nice place to be and recreate from everydays trouble. so quite and green site. no noise just silence due to having been alone at our stay. even the river was not audible (less water). The chalet itself offers everything you need. WiFi almost ok, sometimes a little weak. TV could also offer not French chaines. But TV is not really necessary. We liked the fire in the chimney. it's better than the electr. radiators. For Germans the French grand lits are sometimes a problem. Also the couvertures. We would prefer larger beds and one quilt for everyone. But that's French style. OK
The environment is lovely and interesting. infrastructure is sufficient. people at the laiterie are so nice. Restaurant Chez Marie super place to have diner. Walks are signed out very well. Doing the walks requires sometimes really good condition. We liked it.we really believe that we come back again one day.

We had a fantastic holiday in Chalet Ammonite, Yvette made us very welcome and looked after everything we needed. The chalet was very comfortable and warm, especially with a lovely log fire every night. The position of the chalet is perfect, quiet, beautiful views and the river running through the garden created a real sense of calm and relaxation. There were plenty of excellent walks nearby so the car was not needed everyday however it is in a perfect spot to explore the area, within an hours drive we found lakes, rivers, caves, waterfalls, snow, vineyards, markets, museums, and much more. The village has an excellent small shop for basic needs and the restaurant "Chez Marie et Patricia" was brilliant. I recommend a cookery course with Christian, we had great fun and learned lots of tips from him and improved our French too.All finished off with a lovely meal.We certainly hope to visit again in the future.
