About this house rental
rental all charges included (electricity, water, heating, gas), Located in the center of the island of Oléron, near the port of Cotinière and Saint Pierre d'Oléron, 4-star rental of 37m² (registered in Charente Mritime Tourisme de la Rochelle n ° 38517-0827) rental 4 people, ideal for 2 people (1 bedroom, living room) typical oleron house all in local stone living room: 1 buffet 4 door, 1 chest of drawers, flat screens, mini chain, 1 bench, coffee table, wood stove, kitchen table 4 chair: kitchen side, sink, very complete kitchen utensil, dishwasher (product not supplied) 4-burner cooker, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave room (weak bed) arrival): bed of 160 night tables, wardrobe, chest of drawers, technical room, washing machine, bathroom; shower, sink on cabinet (name towel provided). WC, terrace: table, chair, parasol in a comfortable screen of greenery for baby (free, bed, chair, stroller, changing mat, bath). TNT flat screen TV with satellite dish, (free WIFI).
Quiet location, located in a dead end 1.2 km from the sea and 2 km from the city center with all shops: banks, supermarkets, hairdressers, restaurants, Leclerc Drive .... Beautiful sandy beaches around the edge of the island. Beautiful rocky places for shore fishing and large pine forests.
Sailing school 1.5 km from the property, surfing, diving, horse riding, cycle track, forest walk (pine, holm oak and various species), etc....

Nelly and Christian made us feel very much at home. Having a big pool to relax in was wonderful and the location is perfect for exploring all the nearby beaches. A fantastic family holiday!

We had one of the one bedroomed houses. Very comfortable and clean. The owners are very friendly ; shame we couldn't speak French.
The location is tucked away but with the use of the pool you don't need to be next to the beach. You are in the centre of the island. Ideal for exploring. The patio is directly outside the door with a good sized table and barbeque facilities.
We have been to Oleron many times before and would use these houses again.
The only criticism we have is that the house we had was over equipped. Considering it was only one bedroom we could have done with a lot less crockery, glasses and pots so there was room for the food at base cupboard level.

We arrived at Casa Nelly's at around 10pm on the Saturday night and everything was all waiting for us with keys, instructions, etc. We met Nelly and Christian the following morning and they showed us around the place. The location consists of 3 properties, one that backs onto the pool and the other two in the courtyard. We had the one with the garage, which was quite useful, but they're all as nice as each other. I cannot fault the location in any way. It was spotless and well supplied with fresh towels, etc. The Wi-Fi was fast enough to watch Netflix. Nelly & Christian are the nicest people you will ever meet (see other reviews). Christian even came round with a basket of chilled beers one afternoon while we were sunbathing by the pool. They leave you to get on with your holiday, but they are always around if you need anything, like advice about where to eat or where to shop. Their son kindly printed some maps off for me to show me the beaches. The nearest town is St Pierre d’Oleron, which is within cycling distance and has free parking, like most French towns. There are a number of large supermarkets, including Super-U, L’eclerc & Lidl, plus plenty of nice places to eat in the evening. The beach is 10-15 mins by bike although we preferred to drive down to the beaches between Ronce Les Bains and La Palmyre which are our favourites. We also found time to get up to the lighthouse at the northern tip of the island and also had an afternoon at Boyardville. The location is very peaceful and relaxing and we had the huge pool to ourselves for most of the time. Altogether a lovely experience and we will be recommending it to all our friends.
