About this house rental
This is a great house to connect with friends and or family. Large open floor plan on the top floor with the Kitchen/Dining/Living Room all connected and centered around a wood burning fireplace. Decks off the the kitchen hangs over the top of Holbert Creek where you are surrounded by nature. Downstairs in the Den is the TV with plenty of space to watch the game, movie or your favorite show.
Downtown Guerneville is an easy 5 minute drive away.
Originally built in 1925, it has been extensively remodeled with rustic charm and now has the modern amenities you are looking for (remodeled kitchen, baths and decks). The house was remodeled extensively in 2017 and has an old time charm with modern touches in the kitchen and bath.
Cherry Creek Lodge is made for getting away from it all. Peacefully set over Holbert Creek, with two patios accessible from the main level and one off the lower. We have preserved most of the details and given it a modern twist.
The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and remodeled with quartz countertops and other modern amenities commercial range, blender, toaster oven, coffee maker, coffee grinder, microwave.
There are two master bedrooms with Cal King Beds (one up and one down) along with a two room suite with a Queen and daybed with trundle. In the den we also have a Queen pull out sleeper sofa.
There is one great room with the dining room and living room built out of old growth redwood with a working fireplace. Downstairs there is a wet bar in the den along with a 55" flat screen with cable streaming.
The location is just West of downtown Guerneville and is very quiet and private but you are only a 5 min drive (1.5 miles) from the action of downtown or the public access to the beach.
Please note we are on Holbert Creek and as the map shows, about .75 miles back from River Road and the Russian River. The Creek usually has water in winter, spring and into summer. Towards the ends of summer it will run dry until the rain in the fall. Fishing is illegal and there is access via some large rocks on the property or via an easy slope a few houses down in either direction. No dogs in the creek please.
We do have a Nest camera that covers the parking area.
In the event that due to circumstances beyond either of our controls (fire/pandemic/etc.) and we are not able to host you due to county or state orders, we will fully refund your stay per the VRBO agreement if you are inside the cancellation window. If it is too close to your stay, we will refund the cleaning fee and 1/2 of your stay. We will hold the other half as a credit towards a future stay of your choice.
