In Marrakech, Riad Tchina is what is best in this area. Built in the heart of the old medina, Tchina combines tradition and modernity. Aficionados will not be disappointed, it contains all the codes of the old architectural tradition: green patio, heated pool, corridors, terrace-solarium etc. At the same time this riad has all the modern comforts besides its art deco touches that will make you remember from your stay as smooth, exotic and wonder. Its capacity is planned for 11 people, 5 air conditioned bedrooms, bathroom / toilet.
A riad surprises. Open the door and you will be sublimated. What we see, first, entering Tchina, the color contrast. Not that of the south of Morocco landscapes combining the red ocher desert and houses green valleys and oases, but a black / white glue with which the art deco style of the house. The walls of the house are dressed in white and you feel that little room is left to the approximation in decoration. A touch of black here and there, just to dose, seems designed to mitigate excessive brightness of the rooms. Furniture with sober cut embellish everything. This daring choice, makes this riad in Marrakesh unique. Nevertheless, it contains all the classics of a riad. The patio is the centerpiece and distributes bedrooms and living room. Amid the patio is a small pool with black and white colors (even art deco) with water heated to 29 degrees. The patio has lush vegetation, practice for relaxing hot days. The rooms bear evocative names of cities or geographic areas of Morocco (Atlas, Essaouira, Fez, Ouarzazate, Ourika).

This room is fun during the hot summer months: a step to take a tête.- Room Fes upstairs, it is distinguished by its brightness. It offers great comfort and a touch of color, nice for yeux.- Ouarzazate Room: first floor, it offers a romantic and intimate atmosphere in a room Ourika épuré.- style: it is the only room equipped 2 twin beds. The living very lumineuse.- friends: this room on the ground floor, directly overlooking the patio and pool. Warm décor will invite you to relax. You can enjoy the TV, home cinema or music while enjoying the pool and the greenery of the patio.
The solarium terrace decorated with various plants and equipped with sunbeds is ideal for enjoying the Marrakech sun. Breakfast or meals can be taken with confidence.

Upon our arrival, we were immediately well treated. the staff, led by Fatima, was friendly, welcoming and well organized. Every meal was excellent and were made right on time. Our rooms were cleaned everyday to perfection and the property, overall, was perfect. When deciding what and when we wanted to eat, Fatima listened and the portions were more than enough for my family of seven. The staff was invested and even accompanied my daughters when going out at night to make sure they are safe. The rooms are very nice and the pictures an exact representation of them. The neighborhood is in the middle of the Medina, diving is straight into Marrakech. It’s a 15mn walk to Jama El Afna and there are many activities proposed by the Ryad. The wifi was great, we had a coffee machine we could use and the pool was beautiful. The only downside is the pool was not heated so we couldn’t use it, contrary to what is indicated.
Overall, we are very satisfied by this experience and recommend it a 100%.

We had a good stay at the Riad Tchina. The house is spotlessly clean and well kept. The staff are very helpful and we really enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners that Fatima and her staff provided for us. One caution I have about this Riad is the location. It is in the middle of the Médina. You can’t get there by car, so you need to be dropped off at the gate entrance of the Médina and walk in. The Médina is very hectic and quite a sensory onslaught. It’s also important to note that the Riad is in the far east side of the city and we ended up relying on taxis quite a bit to get to and from various locations in the city.
