Black River Harbor is where the Black River meets Lake Superior — one of the UP’s best-kept secrets, and Alpen Villa 4 is your home base for it. Two bedrooms, a full bath plus a half bath, sleeps 8. Wood-burning fireplace (firewood provided), private balcony with grill, hot tub on shared lower deck with Alpen Villa 3, Pac-Man arcade, two community firepits. Big Powderhorn Mountain Resort steps away.
At the end of Black River Road, the Black River spills into Lake Superior at a harbor ringed by old-growth hemlocks — accessible only on foot, via a boardwalk through the trees. It's one of the UP's best-kept secrets, and Alpen Villa 4 is your home base for it.
This 1,000-square-foot condo sleeps eight: a queen bedroom, a second bedroom with a queen plus twin bunks, and a full sofa bed, with a full bathroom plus a half bath, a fully equipped kitchen, and a wood-burning fireplace with firewood ready to go. Grill dinner on your private balcony. Step down to the lower deck — shared with Alpen Villa 3 — for the hot tub. The community firepits at each end of the building are open to all Alpen Villas guests, firewood included.
The ATV trail network is close. The mountain is just outside. And on slow days, there's Pac-Man. Alpen Villa 4 connects to Alpen Villa 3 for groups of up to 16.
