Berkeley on the Beach

Location, view and beach were all fine. The apartment space was extensive; the layout was fine and furniture was good. The morning sun into the bedroom and living areas was welcome. A balcony off the living area was great.

An extremely noisy hammer drill building renovation was occurring in the adjacent apartment, so loud, we could not talk to each other. It occurred intermittently. The management should not have allowed our apartment to be offered during this time. They refused any compensation. Reception staff have limited language and communication skill. The kitchen facilities were poor - cutlery missing, no wine glasses, no dishwashing implements or tea towels.

Read comments made by many other people. Needed a deep clean and supply of items you would normally find in similar accommodation. Cleaning equipment, iron to go with the ironing board and soap/shampoo would have been appreciated. None of the kitchen items matched or were suitable, cooking items did not work with induction and so on. Although we asked numerous times the internet did not work.
