Riverside Cottage, Minnamurra - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Summer Season
Enjoy absolute waterside living from the wonderful Minnamurra Riverside Cottage. Sit back on the deck and watch the river change with the tides or explore the nearby sand bar and Mystics Beach. All the amenities you could need are close by, making Riverside Cottage the perfect base to explore the Illawarra and surrounds. If you are travelling with family or friends, check out Riverside Studio on the same property to expand the sleeping and accommodation by up to a further 4. And, for those guests with an EV there is a Tesla compatible charger on site.
Where will I be?
Riverside Cottage has direct access to Minnamurra River. Within easy walking distance you will find cafes and the Minnamurra train station. It is a 3 minute drive to the local IGA, liquor shop and takeaways.

Location, location, location! You have everything you could need for your holiday at the tip of your fingers. The Minnamurra River is literally on your doorstep and local amenities are a short walk or drive away.
How is the property laid out?
The cottage has an open plan kitchen living and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a built in oven, induction cook top, microwave and dishwasher. The living area opens onto the outdoor undercover area. There is a bedroom with a queen bed, air conditioner, ceiling fan and bathroom with a walk in shower. The kitchen has a Nespresso pod coffee machine.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV - will I have it?
This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email, or will be available at the property. Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
There are outdoor dining facilities, deck chairs and both wood and gas BBQs. Riverside Cottage is directly on the Minnamurra River. Surf Beach and the bird sanctuary are across the river, and can be accessed via boat, paddle board or sand bank at low tide.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
There is underfloor heating and a combustion fire to keep you warm through the winter. The bedroom also has split system air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Finally, the doors and windows have fly screens so you catch the breeze in the summer.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Sheets, pillows, doonas, linen and bath towels are provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is under cover off street parking for one car, and space for a boat.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Riverside Cottage is a pet friendly property, however please note that the Minnamurra River is not a pet off leash area and dogs are not allowed to swim in the river, or along its banks. You will need to keep you dog on the property or walk it elsewhere. Your pet stay is also subject to the following rules, please:
- Please do not allow wet or dirty dogs in or through the house
- Absolutely no dogs on the furniture or in the bedrooms
- Please bag and dispose of doggy waste appropriately
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Who could ask for more, on the river's edge, can swim at high tide and low tide, easy swim across the river to an easy track through bushland to the beach on the other side. Simple, private accommodation. Amazing, beautiful place.

Once again a stay here has made us forget the troubles of the world. We can never get enough of just watching and enjoying the activities on the river. The cottage has everything we want and need. Perfect!

Position was great but no privacy
The floor mats are very very dirty
I think the fridge should be cleaned out and also food cupboards
