About this cottage rental
Welcome to Lake Country! Come and enjoy everything that Lake Oconee has to offer! The property is located within the Great Waters gated community. This luxury 4 bedroom cottage has everything you are looking for. Located with magnificent water and sunrise views, this cottage is a real treasure! The back of the cottage has big water panoramic views of prestigious Lake Oconee. Sitting on the 4 season porch, you will feel as though you are on a cruise ship. The enclosed porch spans the entire back of the cottage with ample seating for all. The porch leads out to a grilling porch with addition seating and dining space. The porch is equipped with a minisplit unit (heating and cooling) making it comfortable year round. It is a fabulous space for morning coffee watching the colorful sunrises or relaxing with an evening glass of wine.
There is plenty of sleeping room with 4 bedrooms and an addition space in the upstairs loft equipped with a queen size sofa bed..
The principle bedroom is on the main level with a King bed and ensuite with double vanity.
Upstairs guest bed room with king bed and private updated bathroom.
Additional guest room with queen bed
The bunk room has two bunks with a full size lower beds and twin uppers. A space your kids will love!! A total of 8 beds!
All bedrooms excluding the bunk room have expansive views of the lake! Imagine waking up to an awesome sunrise.
All bathrooms have been beautifully updated.
The fully equipped kitchen features stainless appliances , water filter, additional beverage refrigerator and everything necessary to create gourmet meals! A cooks dream! The kitchen has a breakfast bar and overlooks the living area with ample seating and Roku tv. The living area opens to the expansive porch and has impressive views of the lake as well.
The property has access to 5 community docks, swimming pool with lake view, sandy beach and tennis/pickle ball court. The community docks are available to sit and relax while soaking up the views. The marina is conveniently located for boat launching if you wish to bring your own boat or jet ski. There are also marinas in the area that rent boats jet skis, and equipment. The area features walking paths along the lake if you wish to get out and take a stroll.
Great Waters is conveniently located to many local restaurants, grocery shopping, general shopping, antiquing, movies and more lake fun!! Everything you need for a relaxing or adventurous getaway!
Quiet time 9pm to 8 am
Max occupancy rate of 10 people allowed at the property at anytime.
Park only in the parking spaces at the front of the cottage.
No more than 2 cars are allowed.
No parking off the street or in the grass.
No fireworks
No events, parties, gatherings of more than 10 guests total.
No smoking inside or outside.
No Pets.
Occupant is obligated to abide by all of the requirements of the Putnam County ordinances, state and federal and such a violation of any of these rules will result in the immediate termination of the agreement and eviction from the premises, as well as potential liability for the payment of fines levied.
A refundable security deposit of $1000.00 required at time of booking.

This was our second stay at this property, and it was just as great as the first. The home is beautifully maintained, well-appointed, and perfectly located for a relaxing getaway. We appreciated how clean and comfortable everything was, and the attention to detail made it feel like a true home away from home. The host was responsive and easy to work with, and we know that any minor issues will be handled promptly. We’re already looking forward to our third visit. Highly recommend!

We LOVED this property! From the minute we entered the neighborhood we knew we were on the right path to a great weekend. This house is so lovely! We’ve stayed in many rental homes and this was, by far, the most well appointed home to date. I don’t think I appreciated how beautiful Lake Oconee is and I certainly didn’t plan to be there on during a full moon! Beautiful sunrises and the most glorious moon views all from the comfort of this amazing home. If you are looking for a vacation home, look no further!

The house is beautiful with a great setup for sleeping multiple families! The location on the lake is great with access to pool and overnight boat docking within walking distance. The reason I gave 3 stars is because they have a pretty serious ant problem at the house. Ants would come in and cover the kitchen counters when we had food sitting on them and we found them in bedrooms/bathrooms. The windows were also covered in spiderwebs from the outside and some were even cracked open, which we didn’t notice until it rained and the rain started to come in. It would have been a much more comfortable stay if it wasn’t for these issues. Also, it seems the property has a pest control issue as ants even came into our boat overnight from the docks. Fix this problem and I’d give the place 5 stars!
