Ocean Odyssey is proud to welcome a longtime favorite on the Oregon coast, The Soaring Seabird. Come experience the beauty of the Oregon Coast at The Soaring Seabird, a tall, two story home with exceptional ocean views just 1 mile from Yachats. This cozy, two level house has an ocean view from almost every room and is steps away from the beach and rocky shores.
Downstairs are two king bedrooms and another bedroom that features a pair of charming, built in captain’s beds nestled into nooks. There are two full baths with double sinks, and a laundry room. The king bedrooms have an ocean view.
Upstairs is the kitchen, dining and living room with panoramic views of the ocean and the 8 mile beach to the north.
The well equipped kitchen has plenty of room to prepare meals together and the pub height dining table and counter bar stools keeps those great views in sight through large picture windows facing the ocean.
The living room is warmed by a soothing gas fireplace and swivel chairs in the window let you soak up the ocean views as well as the fireplace warmth. There are high ceilings, and skylights, making this a bright and airy space year round. A spacious ocean-side deck expands your living space and keeps you close to the great Pacific. The deck chairs invite you to soak in the sunsets, gaze at the moon lit ocean and feel the power of the King Tides.
There’s a barbecue on the east deck and a half bath upstairs. There is a covered hot tub under the deck on a quiet little travelled gravel road with ocean views to add extra relaxation to your stay.
The Soaring Seabird is a short walk to the sandy beach to the north and the beginning of the famed 804, mostly accessible trail which travels one mile south along the rocky coast into the heart of Yachats. Outside your door is an Audubon meadow and coastal forest, a unique and magical place.
Small dogs can range safely from the house, down the outside stairs to a small yard enclosed by a four foot fence. The grassy yard to the east is for your use.
The neighborhood is quiet. Peaceful walks beckon from each direction; Art galleries, forest trails, the 804 trail, the beach, and a walk to the town of Yachats all reach out to you.

Can't find a better location. This is the 2nd time we've stayed here for our family gathering. Magnificent view, easy access to 804 trail and the beach. Kitchen is well equipped. Great place for large family gathering. Lots of games, dog friendly.

Great location with short walk to the beautiful beach. The home could use a few necessary items in the kitchen. This was our second year visiting the Soaring Seabird. The cleanliness was lacking. The cleaning people should notice the carpets as well as stained upholstery.

Two things were evident right away - the bedrooms were dirty and the closets chaotic (extra sheets, blankets, and pillows stuffed into them), and both king beds were very uncomfortable. The master bed was soft with no support and the guest bed was hard. The windows were quite dirty and one of our guests washed the large living room windows and the bedroom windows. It made quite a difference even after it rained.We asked for several items that were missing (washcloths, shower mats and large kitchen garbage bags) and they were delivered promptly by Peter.Also on the positive side, the appliances were new and all worked exceptionally well. The living area was quite large and had most items that were needed in cooking.The location on the 804 trail and steps to the beach was the best. With all the positive things, nothing can make up for an unclean house and uncomfortable beds.
