About this house rental

Surfview is truly a special place. Ask any of our guests and they will tell you… about the VIEW! But that is not all they will tell you. Our home is comfortably furnished and thoughtfully appointed with all of the amenities that you could wish for while on vacation. Our oceanview kitchen is well stocked with cookware and appliances as well as spices and baking necessities. The kitchen is truly a joy to cook in. Relax and enjoy the view in either living room or family room. Each has it’s own large 65" flatscreen Satellite TV (with Roku) which makes it comfortable for families with smaller children. We have a large wrap around deck perfect for grilling outdoors.

The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with (easy) private beach access just a 2 minute walk from the house. If grandma and grandpa don’t want to go to the beach, it’s not a problem as they can watch all of the happenings right from the comfort of our living room and family room windows.

Please note: While the house is one level, there are some stairs required to get into the house. Specifically, there are 5 stairs, then a small landing, and then another 5 stairs to the front door. Please inquire if you have additional questions.

I am having a difficult time figuring out the best "rating" for our experience with this property. In some respects... location, cleanliness, the amenities that came with the house.... the score is excellent. But there are a few what I would describe as "issues". Overall, my husband and I, and our small dog, enjoyed our stay very much. AMAZING views and wildlife. The people and their dogs playing on the sand by the river were MORE than entertaining.It looked to us like there had been a lot of recent updates and improvements to the house... carpeting, appliances, countertops, two really nice tv's. But... There was no mention anywhere in the description of the house of the ten stairs that need to be navigated to reach the front door... or the dozen or so stairs from the back yard to the deck. Our dog is old and so are we... He had to be carried up and down the stairs. There was no lighting on the back yard stairs and poor lighting on the front. Hard to carry a dog, a flash light, and keep your balance. I suggest including info about the stairs in the advertising rather than the misleading "One level living" description. Additionally, the sliding glass door needs work. It is extremely hard to move back and forth on the track. We could barely move it. The screen with this door had several large vertical rips. There were a few other problems but as I have already said, it is a great house in a fantastic location. So we chose to overlook the negatives.

This home has a spectacular panoramic view of the bay where the Yachats River meets the Pacific. Diverse assortment of sea birds, too! Easy access to beach and fine dining just around the corner! The house is clan, comfy, roomy and the kitchen had an ample supply of cookware.

We had a great time. Perfect location within walking distance to downtown. Fenced in yard for the dogs and access to a very nice, dog friendly beach, right on the yachats river. Beds were very comfortable and great family room to watch Netflix as a family. We can’t wait to come back!

Chose this place as it had 3 bedrooms, the reviews saying the kitchen was well stocked, and the amazing location of being at the mouth of the river as it dumps into the ocean. Best vrbo I’ve ever had! Seeing the ever changing tide and swell of the river was exquisite entertainment and education for teen grandkids. We will be back!!

This was our second stay at this property and we’ve already booked it again. Wonderful location, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is newly updated with beautiful counter tops and a new sink. The house is very well stocked. Nikki, the host, is very responsive and helpful with any question. Perfect spot to enjoy the Oregon coast.

Very nice and clean. Enjoyed seeing otters, seals and salmon swim by. It does need more handicap accessories as it was trying at times, especially the shower. Could use also an update for the TP. I never stayed at any place that had such cheap, see through toilet paper. Kitchen had everything you could think of.

This wonderful rental was just what my sister and I needed. The view is amazing; it is so cool to have both the river and the ocean RIGHT there. The interior is lovely, clean and cozy with having enough room for a bigger group. It's often not possible to get a rental with a fenced yard that is beach front- it makes it much more relaxing to travel with a pup. The location is also amazing- you are a hot spit from all the adorable Yachats has to offer, as well as a great jumping out in to wilderness or taking day trips to Florence and Newport. Can;t say good enough things about this place and grateful Nikki shares this wonderful place!

I gave my family a getaway for Christmas 2024 we stayed October 2024 we I lucky enough to snag this property with freshwater river feeding into the ocean.. we seen baby otters playing in the water so cute and fun. I will definitely stay here again. The close proximity to Yachats allowed us to be able to walk to town and not have to worry about parking. Even though it's located near the101 HWY, we were not impacted from the HWY noise. This house overlooks the river and inlet to the ocean. We had amazing birding opportunities from both the living room and dinning room. Honestly, I didn't want to leave.

We stayed here for a week with two families of four. The place was much nicer than the photos. A lot of space for four adults and four children. Kids loved being on the river and a quick walk to a great sandy beach to play at the ocean. The house was fully stocked with supplies. We would definitely stay here again.

Our group of 5 had a wonderful stay in this house. It was well appointed, had all the necessary kitchen tools for meals at home and was a cozy enclave at the end of the bay. Each day we were front row to the power of the ocean meeting the river as the high tide and waves came in so did all the big massive logs. It was very exciting. The location of the home is perfect also for walks into town and also across the bridge over to the rocky areas. We enjoyed ourselves greatly and will consider this house again in the future when we return to Yachats.

This property is absolutely amazing. The views are Gorgeous! It is centrally located to the town and to beach access...a very easy walk to either. We saw all kinds of wildlife, eagles, whale spouts, swifts, heron etc. We were jokingly calling the dining room window our wildlife TV. The house has everything you would need for a gourmet meal, tons of movies and books and comfortable furniture. Would absolutely rent again!!

My mobility-challenged mother, brother, and myself all stayed for a long weekend. The house is lovely, well cared for and clean, and the best stocked rental home I've ever stayed in. Perfect for relaxing on the deck while enjoying the beautiful sea-view, walkable to town, and great beach access. We had a wonderful time! Also, after walking up the initial front steps, my mom found getting around inside the home easy, plenty of room to navigate a walker.

We spent spring break here with our two elementary-school aged kids. We loved the access to the beach, fenced yard for our dog, zone-out space, well-equipped kitchen, and gorgeous views. My kids asked if we could buy this house and move here! Having access to the garage was great… we could unload from a wet outing and dry out gear without tromping into the house. We didn’t use the deck much, due to the weather, but I suspect the privacy is awesome when having outdoor meals. Also, because I had wondered about this, it is a short walk to the town, along a shoulder on a 25mph section of road. I was able to walk back from town on the rocks/beach at low tide. We would love to return in the summer!
