About this house rental
The Posada Haus (Bottom unit) is a 2 bedroom 1 bath property that can sleep up to 8 guests. Has view of the communal pool in the back, can be seen from the kitchen, or one of the bedrooms.
From 2 to 4 miles to Restaurants, Gruene, Tubing, Schlitterbahn and more.
If additional space is needed our Lago Haus, which is the street level section can sleep an additional 8 guests. Can be booked together or separately.
The Posada Haus is part of a split level vintage house and is at ground level. You can sleep up to 8 guests with a queen in the master bedroom, 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom and futon in the living. There is a complete kitchen to cook your meals, bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and sink. Has an open living-room/kitchen/dining area. There is a covered patio with outdoor furniture. The spacious backyard has our new communal pool and hot tub. There are two cabanas before you get to the pool, one on the left another on the right with bbq pits and furniture. The pool is fenced, children must be accompanied by adults at all times.
These properties are located on a very quiet cove on Lake Dunlap. It is only 3- 4 miles to Gruene, Schlitterbahn, N.B.Hist. Dist., restaurants, shops, bars, theaters, tubing the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers. The Outlet malls in San Marcos are only 15 minutes away, N.B.Airport 2 miles, San Antonio Airport 30 minutes, Austin Airport 45 minutes.
Also river outfitters can pick your group up from any of our properties and take you to either the Comal or Guadalupe Rivers for tubing, providing required equipment for your float, put you in and then pick you up at the end of your float and bring you back approx $30 per person, min of 6.
In total we have seven cottages, with each cottage posted here individually to book separately, a combination of or book all 7 together. Each cottage sleeps 8, you can book any combination to accommodate your group size.
New docks and a boat ramp were added this year. Perfect for relaxing by the water, fishing, or even getting in for a swim! We have a shared pool that can be heated per request. Contact the host for pricing. pool will be heated and warm from 10 am to 8 pm. Heated to 85 degrees (not like a hot tub)

The owner was so responsive and worked with our arrival and departure time. This house was immaculately clean and so cozy. The landscape is beautiful and sitting outside was just the kind of relaxing I needed before the cooler weather comes. We will be back.

My son and I and our 2 dogs stayed here while on vacation in New Braunsfels. The property is exactly as described. The lower level of the duplex opens up directly to the back yard which has picnic tables, grills, a grassy area, and small cabanas with string lights. The pool is beautiful as well. We were 15 minutes or less from all river activities.
Tom - the owner was extremely responsive with questions and a few things that needed fixing. He was very prompt and took care of everything right away.
We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Backyard area was beautiful. Very well stocked. Would definitely stay there again. Great property. It was sketchy driving in and uncomfortable leaving the car where we couldn’t see it.

It is a nice property, with room for improvement. The outdoors are awesome! Kids loved the fire pit and I’m wondering how nice it would be a stay there during summer time and take full advantage of the pool facilities. On the other hand, beds are not so comfortable and are noisy. Shower is too tight and sprays water all over the bathroom. Replacing the shower head would solve part of the problem. Having laundry facility available would be attractive for people planning a longer stay. Other than that, we loved our trip and kids are begging us to repeat as soon as possible.
