Perched atop Queenstown Hill, Tākitimu is a charming holiday haven that offers breathtaking, uninterrupted views of The Remarkables Mountain Range, Queenstown, and majestic Lake Wakatipu. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by an expansive retreat that embodies the perfect blend of comfort and luxury.
The four double bedrooms, including the master bedroom with its own private deck and ensuite bathroom, provide ample space for relaxation and rejuvenation. The fully equipped kitchen and dining area are perfect for cooking up a storm and sharing meals with loved ones, while the separate lounge room with TV offers a cozy spot for entertainment. For added convenience, a downstairs living area and kitchenette provide a flexible space for relaxation.
As the day winds down, unwind outdoors on the balcony with its stunning views, outdoor dining area, and BBQ. With full laundry facilities at your fingertips, you can keep your wardrobe fresh and clean throughout your stay. Bedroom 4-King Size Bed That Can Be Split Into 2 Singles
1 Fold Out Couch In The Downstairs Living Area - You must let us know at least three days prior to your arrival.
*Please let us know at least 3 days prior to your arrival. If you decide that you want the beds prepared differently to the standard configuration AFTER you arrive, there will be a charge of $100 per bed. This is for our external cleaners to come and arrange the beds and put all new linen on.
Baby Accessories - We can provide a portacot, high chair and baby bath on request at a fee of $50 . Please notify us at least 3 days prior to arrival.
Minimum 3 night stay during Christmas and New Years.
Note: Furniture is now different to that shown in the photos
Please, no pets, no smoking indoors and no parties/events.
A maximum of 8 guests are allowed. At least one guest must be over the age of 25.
Guest Access:
Double garage and off street parking are available. Please exercise caution when navigating the steep driveway, particularly during winter months.

We had a great stay at Takitimu. The house and furnishings are a little dated but the views are absolutely stunning and the house is well designed to make the most of them. Our family group had a great stay and really appreciated that there was a bathroom for each bedroom. The host was very responsive.

The house is very clean, with full kitchen equipment for quick cooking. The lake view from the house is perfect. We really enjoyed staying here. The host was very responsive to our request. One of the shower drainer was not working well; I reported to the host and he sent someone over to fix it on the same day. The reason I gave 4* for the location is because the drive way (Martys lane) down to the house is kind of steep. It would be scary for someone who has no experience driving up and down hill. We ended up parking on the street before turning into Martys lane. On the listing it said it takes 20min to walk to the mall, the center. It’s true for the distance but we won’t be able to walk because there’re about 3 long blocks of up and down hill. However, it’s just a short drive to the shopping areas. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for us at this house. We would definitely stay here again if we come back here next time.

Top feature is the magnificent view. We couldn’t stop looking out the large windows. The property has most of the things you need for a short or long stay. We were 4 friends staying for five days, and each having our own bathroom and bedroom allowed us the space we needed. Communication with the host was easy and the instructions given to us easy to understand and implement. We had a wonderful stay.
