Oceanfront vacation villa with amazing views, AC, and WiFi!

Just a beautiful home and property. Well cared for. Enriqueta and Pedro quietly work hard maintaining the space. Owner communicated well. He even stopped by to check in, drop off some charcoal and chat about the area. Separate spaces to take in the view, relax, swim and cool off. Every single bedroom has ocean view! Worth noting that there is enough shore to walk up and down the coastline for a while (we walked to the bay to snorkel and hang on the beach) but it is not a wide sandy beach in front, more rocky. Better as a view than beach lounging. Such a perfect walkable town. We love Akumal. And now have a go to spot for the future!

With four bedrooms in the main home, a large living/dining area, large well-equipped kitchen, an ocean-view backyard, and a large west-facing pool, it had everything we needed to both relax and entertain the kids for a week. The home was very well maintained, with large kitchen appliances, new power outlets, flawless internet connection, and comfortable TV room. The caretakers were welcoming and friendly. And, property management from Akumal Direct was superb from booking all the way through the conclusion of our stay.

From the initial booking to our final exit, the experience could not have been better. The concierge service answered all our questions and was super helpful. The location could not have been better. It was walking distance to everything, from the pueblo, to the colectivo, to the beach, to plenty of restaurants and shopping.Upon arrival, Scott provided a welcoming space. The bedrooms, living area, kitchen were beyond our expectations. The bedrooms where spacious with plenty of room for our clothes, and belongings. Every bed was comfortable. Each bathrooms was also spacious. The living areas had plenty of seating, light, air, and were beautifully decorated with minimal knick knacks - important in the presents of small children! The kitchen was outstanding. All the pots and pans we needed, plus plenty of dishes. the stove and fridge were huge! It was nice to have those little extras, like paper towel, napkins and tin foil. And to mention the coffee bar! A great touch. Outside, the grounds were immaculate, the pool pristine. There were so many places to just sit outside, relax, take in the beautiful surroundings, watch the sunrise, the sunset, or just listen to the birds. Of special note are Pedro and Quetti, who were so meticulous, and respectful with their housekeeping and grounds maintenance. They were diligent without being intrusive. While our family of 10 tried to stay tidy, Pedro and Quetti kept everything sparkling.Thank you for helping us make a vacation that we will all remember for years to come.

All good except: 1) host said there was no sargassum at the house, but the mountain of sargassum was so high you couldn't even see where the land ended and sea began. 2) no access to laundry facilities, makes it impossible to handle swim suits, towels, and clothes with all the kids water activities. The cleaning lady did our clothes laundry once without asking and tried to charge us 30 for it. We demanded access to locked laundry room outside and finally got the key, but the key didn't work. Then they unlocked it for us but we still couldn't use it because the cleaning lady was already using it. We had to wear wet swimsuits and dirty clothes until we got access at 9pm the night before our early morning departure, with no light, using our phone flashlight to see the dials. Other than that, all good.
