About this villa rental
Casa Salvaje is the perfect location for a family vacation or a large group reunion. Located on the long soft sand beach of Aventuras Akumal, Salvaje is the place for sunbathing and sculpting monumental sand art and castles. The sandy bottom bay offers a pristine environment for snorkeling and swimming. Depending on the time of year, you may also be favored to experience nesting sea turtles and the emergence of turtle hatchlings from the white sands. Remember, what happens at Salvaje, stays at Salvaje.
The Exterior:
Casa Salvaje is an inviting two story beachfront villa plus a garden guest house that offers enough room for up to 18 guests, making Salvaje an ideal choice for family celebrations and large group reunions.
A blue tiled sparkling swimming pool with a generous patio and deck area is located on the beautiful ocean side of the property. Shade palapas, beach lounge chairs, sea kayaks, and a gas grill are just a few of the patio furnishings provided to enhance your time in the Mayan sand and sun. A large terrace facing the ocean on the Villa's second level is perfect for looking out over the bay or a hammock siesta! The Caribbean is your backdrop as you hang by the pool and enjoy lazy afternoons with Margaritas in hand.
Villa Layout:
The main level includes a full modern kitchen with breakfast bar, dining area with seating for 12 and an adjacent entertainment area that is comfortably furnished and equipped with a Smart + Satellite television. From the main level a gorgeous view of the beach is courtesy of sliding glass doors that grants access to the swimming pool, sundeck, and beach.
The Villa's second level primary bedrooms are air conditioned and enjoy private ensuite bathroom/shower. The spacious beach facing suite is furnished with a King bed and endless ocean views and an open air terrace. The Villa's other large split-level primary suite has lush garden views and is furnished with a King bed plus a Queen bed that are separated by a low partition wall.
The Villa's two main level bedrooms are air conditioned and have unrestricted access to the swimming pool, deck, and beach through sliding glass doors. One bedroom is furnished with a King bed and private ensuite bathroom/shower while the second bedroom is furnished with a Queen bed and access to a bathroom/shower.
Garden Guest House Layout:
The garden Guest House offers three welcoming air conditioned rooms with private ensuite bathroom/shower, all enjoying views of the lush garden. The lower level offers a spacious room furnished with two Queen beds. The two upper level rooms have access to an open air terrace and are each furnished
with a King bed.

Please note there is no smoking inside the villa, guest house rooms, and newly passed federal law prohibits smoking on the beach.

Great, comfy house with casita. Sufficient room for 14. Pool was nice to have along with our beach. Staff was attentive and thorough each day that they came to clean.

Our multi-generation family of 13 stayed here for a week and it was absolutely perfect. The bedrooms were spacious, with comfortable beds and cool AC. The beach was beautiful and the pool was perfect for the kids. We all enjoyed snorkeling on the awesome reef right in front of the house, seeing tons of unique fish and coral. The housekeeper, Betty, was very friendly and we so appreciated her hard work keeping everything fresh and clean, along with Aurelio the gardener who came and cleaned the pool/beach area in the mornings. One of the nights we had Chef Elias, recommended in the visitor book, come make a group dinner and it was so delicious. There was plenty of common area space to play games and lounge in the evenings. Overall it was an unforgettable vacation and we couldn't have asked for a better place to make family memories together.

We needed a house that could accommodate our kids families with grandchildren. In other words, lots of rooms. This house is perfect for a large gathering.This house is in great condition. The management with staff keep the place up. This is not that easy when you are next to a sandy beach. We appreciate their hard work to make to allow us to have this vacation.

We could not be happier with this rental, the company, the staff, the location, each and every factor contributed to an extremely happy group and a truly lovely vacation experience.To start, we actually had another property booked and when due to COVID-19 that owner took the property off the market, Akumal Direct, the management company offered us Casa Salvaje at the same price, which was superb customer service and candidly a great deal. During all the rebooking and communications Katie and the team @ Akumal Direct went above and beyond. They were timely, courteous and clear in all their communication.As for the house itself, it is in amazing shape, the location is superb, and if I might say Aurelio the groundskeeper and Betty the housekeeper were kind, very hardworking and also unobtrusive. Betty was actually a saint if we are being honest, if you stay please DO NOT FORGET TO TIP THEM GENEROUSLY. We actually did not need or desire Betty to clean everyday so we asked for an every other day situation which worked well. The rooms, the bathrooms, the kitchen and living room are all amazingly well stocked, with the casita perfect. The private beach is unreal and we had some excellent recommendations for local food and services like a fishing trip with Sweet Willy which was 1/4 the cost of other outfits. We were a group of singles so we each had a room which was amazing, but this house is equally as good a fit for an extended family with kids, or couples. Plenty of bathrooms and amenities. They had bath towels to spare, pool toys, beach chairs, a fully stocked kitchen, refilled water cooler every day. Aurelio even cut us coconuts. The snorkeling in the reefs right off the beach is majestic.TL:DR the property is even better than described, extremely clean and well maintained and the service from management was impeccable. The recommendations and location of local activities like Coba, Tulum, Valladolid, Cenotes, grocery stores and more is ha
