Private 750 sq ft 2 Bed 1 Bath unit located in a large Limestone building, built in 1860 with a rich history.. Close to Field of Dreams, hiking, hunting, and snowmobile trails. Scenic Iowa drives to many nearby river towns with small town shopping and great eats. Large living room with ambient lighting, 55" Smart TV, leather recliner and leather couch with pull-out bed. Large kitchen with concrete countertops, stainless steel appliances, utensils, and Keurig. Vaulted ceilings, 10' to rustic supports, then additional 15' to rooftop. Natural limestone walls throughout unit.

Really cute & clean property! Historic building well maintained. Host communicated clearly with us sending parking, WiFi & security lock information prior to arrival. There was a problem getting the message from VRBO as reservation was booked through Expedia but host responded quickly & resent. We were 12.5 hours from home but this was a great home away from home!

In a word: Amazing! If we ever make it back to Iowa, we’ll be staying here again! Awesomely renovated building that has cool history - of which the info was provided by the host along with suggestions on spots to eat and sightsee! Very stocked kitchen! They thought of everything! Dekker is the most responsive host I’ve ever worked with for a trip, and when I told him we’d be arriving in the later evening, he went over and turned some lights on for us! Again: Amazing! I recommend this place BIG TIME!

This property is so beautiful and well appointed! We enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed and contact with Dekker was prompt and helpful! My family and I were happy to stay here and will do it again if our travels bring us back through Iowa.

We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful Stone House with so much history behind it! The countryside is absolutely breathtaking. Colesburg has a Tavern with great food and the locally owned gas station has a variety of homemade food and local locker meats and cheeses. We enjoyed the simple quite atmosphere and felt rejuvenated when we left. Will definitely be back!!!
