About this house rental
Experience the romance of Sicily in our fully equipped, 5 Airconditioned bedroomed family Villa nestled in vast countryside at the foot of the Village Racalmuto, Agrigento.
Our Sicilian Villa has easy access to grand historical sites like The Valley of the Temples and Piazza Armerina, intimate village festivals & markets where you can sample village life littered with authentic sumptuous eateries – or just relax in the gardens surrounded by fig, olive and peach trees where the local bread and fish man comes to you – all you need is to shade on the veranda, soak up the sun and dip in our private pool to cool off – and maybe pay a cheeky visit (or two) to the local wine producers cantina just to top up the bounty of the local land!
Our Villa is made by our family for other families, so whilst we do not allow parties, we celebrate family time (Children’s facilities catered for of course) with a large very well equipped kitchen, cooling with white plaster silk like walls, shutters and mosquito blinds throughout, downstairs spacious living interiors with sweeping staircase to bedrooms upstairs, including 2 with verandas and of course air conditioning for a good night’s sleep.

Overall the villa way very nice. The Villa stays nice and cool all day and with all bedrooms having aircon, staying cool in the night is not an issue. The pool is a great size and not to deep so ideal for children. The ocation is remote but very peaceful with some lovely veiws. Giuseppe the owner was extremely helpful with any queries.

We had a super 2 weeks in this villa. Giuseppe is a brilliant host. From day 1 communication was helpful and prompt. All information was passed on at the relevant point. He could not have been better.
The villa is really well-equipped and comfortable. The pool was a real boon when the weather was hot and was well maintained and cleaned every few days.
The villa was easy to find and was well placed to access a lot of local sites.

The villa is beautiful, lovely inside and out. Very spacious and it really has everything inside you could need.
The pool area is very large and the pool is large and beautiful, our only issue was the lack of workable umbrella stands as there is no shade around the pool until about 4pm.
We didnt find too much to do local to the villa, there is a nice restaurant (La Taberna) in rucalmuto but we drove to San Leone, which had an array of resturants and beautiful beaches and just 20 mins drive from the villa.
There is a supermarket 5 mins drive up the road, which isnt huge but very well stocked and reasonable priced.
We had a lovely stay in a beautiful villa and whilst the large motorway road is very close it isnt very busy so doesnt disturb you.

On arriving at the villa we were met by the housekeeper who let us in and went through keys security and internet with us. All very easy. The villa is exactly as described very large with everything you could need. 5 double bedrooms 2 shower rooms and air con in all bedrooms. Large kitchen dining living area. Lovely veranda with table and chairs ( We lived out there to be honest). Lovely pool area. (Pool Man came several times cleaned pool and patio and removed rubbish and recycling.) Th villa is surrounded by a high hedge with double gate and is quiet and private. We had a lovely holiday. The Valley of the temples is close by in Agrigento and we found many other historical sights, castles and churches in the surrounding towns and villages. Racalmuto and Grotte the closest places have many good bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The drive to the Villa from Catania airport was about 1 hour 50 mins on good roads. We also visited Cefalu and Palermo on the North Coast which is about a 1 hour 30 min drive and well worth seeing.
