Guest access
The entire home is for your exclusive use. Guests can easily access the property with a keypad.
Guests can access the home using the detailed Self Check-In instructions emailed/texted to them after booking.
Other things to note
PLEASE READ Prior to Reserving:
- Check-in is at 4 PM.
- Check-out is at 11 AM.
Sometimes we can accommodate.
- Please respect the noise curfew past 9 PM
- No unregistered guests allowed (Unless communicated to the host). Only registered guests are allowed on site. All guests 18+ must be registered through Vrbo. We reserve the right to ask for all guest names and ages. A $50 per night per person fee will be assessed for any unauthorized guests staying at the property.
- No parties or events are allowed
- No Pets allowed
- Please take care of the furnishings. You have to pay for damages that exceed the security deposit
- Number of guests booked must reflect the exact number of guests staying at the property
- No illegal substances are allowed on the premises
- No smoking inside is allowed. Any evidence of smoke inside the home will be documented and reported to the platform's resolution center. Guests are liable for any and all damages and may be charged up to $300 per occurrence if smoke is detected in the home.
- Please put dishes in the dishwasher and start before you leave
- We provide basic cleaning supplies and kitchen supplies. Please do not take any of this with you when you leave as this is for every guest who stays at The Gathering Alexandria.
- We have professional cleaners on staff that come immediately after our guests' checkout. Prior to cleaning, our staff thoroughly inspects the property for damage and stolen goods. Any overt damage (beyond normal wear and tear) or stolen goods will be reported to the platform's resolution center and billed to guests directly.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Please note that the property has 1.5 bathrooms. Do not use the shower in the basement.
Think of all the items that we offer ( toilet paper, towels, soap, trash bags, etc.) as "STARTER KITS", and be sure to bring additional items and items that are more appropriate for the length of your stay and the size of your group.
In an effort to maintain a secure premise, the home is equipped with two exterior cameras that actively record video and sound as well. One camera is on at the front overlooking the front yard of the home, and the second is in the back of the home overlooking the back yard. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras on the inside.
Host bears no responsibility for any accident, injury, or illness that you may sustain during your stay.
Please treat our space with respect. This is what the Vrbo and shared economy are all about. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

This was a comfortable b&b we stayed at with our kids and my brothers family. They had amenities for babies and kids we appreciated and was walking distance to a park, and driving distance to the DC activities. It is in a super cute and safe neighborhood. Would book again!

We loved the property and the location, 5 minutes away from Wegmans(!) and from the turnpike. Easy to get to and easy to get back on the road. Way better than a hotel for sure. Nice fenced in yard for a dog (watch out for the neighbors dog though, he's a sneaky one), which backs up to a public path which was perfect for a morning walk. If I find myself traveling through the DC area again, I'll be staying here if it's available..

Great house to stay with your family. We’re a family of 4 with guy/girl teens. The basement living area was perfect for our son. The neighborhood is quaint and the folks we saw out and about around there were super friendly! The Huntington Metro stop is a short ride from the airport. The walk to the house is about 10 mins, but if you have large luggage like we did, maybe a few mins more. Communicating with Kevin is very easy, and even an FYI while at the house I sent over was replied to within hours. We did a Walmart delivery order to the house for some food supplies while there since we did not utilize a car. I always bring laundry supplies when we travel, but if you do plan on doing any laundry while staying here, add that to your delivery order or bring your own. There is car parking if you bring one. Kreurig machine for coffee is there for use.
It may seem far from all of the action in DC, but if you are a traveling family, it really is a great haven to rest. The Metro is a fun ride and you are in the middle of everything with a short ride on it.
