About this house rental
Welcome to our 1923 farmhouse in quaint Eldora, Iowa. We purchased the house as a home away from home and have been spending the last year completing renovations and making improvements. The house does not have central air but the two window units keep the upstairs plenty cool. In winter the boiler system provides plenty of heat with registers in every room. The kitchen is fully furnished, we have a gas grill on the patio, and folding chairs to enjoy the patio in the evenings. There’s also a swing on the front porch to enjoy your morning coffee. The house sits just off the square and is walking distance to the city pool, playground, small bowling alley, one screen movie theater, grocery stores and restaurants. Close by you can also visit Pine Lake and access a great bike trail. We live in Texas but we have family in Iowa and we enjoy the slower pace, cooler summers, and even a snowy day from time to time. We will continue to improve the house over time and look forward to sharing our place with visitors regardless of if you’re passing through or if you just need to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Welcome to our home away from home.

This was a repeat stay for me at this location and I have 2 future visits booked. This is a great place to stay with anything that you would need close by. I love the farmhouse feel in a town setting and the architecture and furnishings in this home are very beautiful. It's a great place to stay if you are looking for a comfortable setting.

We absolutely loved this place. It had the farmhouse feel with of all the conveniences of being in a small town. Everything about it was great. We loved the architecture and beautiful woodwork inside the house. The front porch and the back patio were amazing places to hang out and enjoy the outside. The living room was great and comfortable and the bedrooms were plentiful. We would definitely stay here again.
