Unit 096: Sunrise West - Tucked away in the Gulf-Front Audubon community on Dauphin Island's East End, Sunrise East is a delightful 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom duplex with around 1,500 square feet of inviting space. It offers a spacious layout and some of the islands best-kept secrets!
Nestled between the dunes and the Gulf of Mexico, this charming cottage offers sweeping views of both landscapes. Step out onto the south-facing deck to take in the sounds of the Gulf of Mexico or unwind on the north-facing deck to admire the dune wildlife.
Inside, the open kitchen and dining area feature cozy seating, a large flatscreen TV with satellite, and a dining table for six. The nearby kitchen is thoughtfully equipped, complete with a pantry and a wet bar for your convenience.
The primary suite is a relaxing retreat with a queen-sized bed and TV. The ensuite bathroom includes a spacious tub and a walk-in shower. There are two additional bedrooms, both north-facing with breathtaking dune views, room 2 features a queen and a twin bed, and room 3 features two twin beds. A shared full bathroom with a separate vanity area is easily accessible, and both bedrooms open to a private north-facing deck, ideal for quiet mornings with nature.
Venture outside to explore Dauphin Island’s rich history, from Fort Gaines to the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, or enjoy family-friendly attractions like the Sea Lab Estuarium, local bike trails, and the white sandy beaches. Dauphin Island also hosts many seasonal events, including Mardi Gras, the Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo, and movie nights on the east end.

Audubon Place is a good location on Dauphin Island. We enjoyed the quiet beach, and riding bikes around the island. The house was clean, beds were soft but still comfortable and the living room furniture was also comfortable (a little sparse on coffee tables etc). Kitchen was not fully stocked for full blown cooking. Not much for front patio seating, and nothing on the back deck. Overall a nice rental, be sure to bring what you need. Don’t forget a beach wagon to haul your stuff to the beach! Rental agency was very responsive and helpful.
