Residence Parco del Garda

The apartment was fine but the outdoor space was very scruffy. It should be more specific about whether or not it’s a Lake view as I would have paid more for a view.

Houses are a bit worn out, but good and affordable price. WiFi in the houses would be nice, though. TV channels did not work properly. Nice property, nice pools, restaurants, bar and a small shop with the necessities you might need. Short walking distance to downtown Garda. The only thing I do not understand; why is there no laundry/laundry service??

Went in Oct so very quite. Tv not for us English. Ok for price not much to do in evening. Big hill to walk up from garda take more pillows with you.basic like caravaning.

The check in for Parco del Garda is at the Hotel Marco Polo and starts at 15.00. We had to pay the cleaning deposit of 150 Euro in cash despite the info on Hotels.com. Our apartment was located on the second floor and that was good because we could sleep with the balcony door and bedroom window open at night There is no AC and no fans and although we visited in June we slept without bed covers. The beds were quite hard except for the sofa/bed in the living room. The kitchen had most of the things you may need, but only three glasses. You may use both the pool at Hotel Marco Polo and the larger one on the other side of the tennis courts. The restaurant by the large pool is open for lunch and dinner. Sun beds are free, but sun umbrellas are 2 Euro per day. The hotel is located just north of Garda town. If you want to walk into the city you can use the walkway above the large pool area. If you want to go down to the lake yoy need to walk along the main road for a while. The small supermarket opens at 8. Summary: 3,5 out of 5

The hotel was in a picturesque location however up a steep hill. When we arrived, approximately 200 Christians were reading bibles in the reception area in silence. Very unexpected so found it all a bit strange as we checked in whispering. Then we were told we had to pay a €70 cleaning deposit.. We had to clean our own room or would be charged if this wasn't done adequately. Our room was inspected at 5pm the night before we went home. We were instructed to fill out an itinary & have everything out of the kitchen cupboards on the dinner table for the inspection, to make it 'easier'! To collect our deposit we were informed reception would be open between 7am-10pm so we decided to collect it at 7am the morning of our departure. We had to wait 15 minutes for the receptionist to arrive as she was late, this wouldn't have been an issue normally but had a taxi booked to the airport at 7am for our flight back to Gatwick. We also had to pay €20 non-refundable, for bed sheets. Towels were also an additional €20 for two people. There was also a €12 accommodation tax, non -refundable. We also had no hot water the day after our arrival so had to go to reception & wait for a matenence man (who was very prompt) to fix the problem. The bar staff were friendly when the bar area was open & not occupied by the Christians! Location was lovely however rooms are extremely basic, wouldn't return to this hotel!
