SPIR service is outstanding! Super responsive and helpful. As for the house itself-mostly well stocked-highly recommend putting some more dish towels in there, and we couldn't find any kitchen scissors which would be helpful. The cushions on the patio furniture off the kitchen/living area desperately need to be replaced. The hot tub never got hot. Overall, this is a really great house for a large family to share as long as everyone is incredibly mobile and can handle the stairs, (two steep staircases of 15 stairs each). The outdoor kitchen is fantastic. Great proximity to the beach. If you pruned the palm trees in front of the house, it would really open up the view from the top level to the water. The beds are super comfortable and plenty of linens. Great TVs and lots of room to spread out. We had a great time!

SPI did a fantastic job supporting us during our time on South Padre. The property was exactly what we were looking for for the week, and when we discovered a small issue with the AC late in the evening, they sent a handyman at 10pm to fix the issue right away. Will definitely be utilizing SPI Rentals whenever we come back to the island!

The main problem I have with this rental experience was the check in process. We arrived early from Houston, at approximately 2:40. I called to get the keypad access code hoping the house was ready a little early. I was told they were waiting on the inspection team to issue an all clear for check in, which they had yet to receive. So we waited in the driveway. After peering through the window and noticing all bedding made and house in order I called back only to receive the same message that the inspection team had not given the all clear yet. Clearly the home was ready and the customer service reps were incapable of giving us access to the home. So we waited. I called again at 3:40, was immediately disconnected and then miraculously received a text with the access info. The house was ready early when we got there and stated in the contract that the house would be accessible if ready early, which it was not. No one came by to check the home why we were waiting, it was ready the whole time. The process needs to be improved with the customers needs in mind. And the A/C drain pipe located in the upstairs bathroom shower needs to be moved, it drips on you while you shower which can't be sanitary. Aside from that, the house was great for our party.
