About this cottage rental
Winterized cottage on lake with municipal roads plow and private snow plow. 4 bedroom, 2 living rooms, 3 full new washrooms. Sandy beach with shallow water. Kayaks, canoe, stand up board included must be put back in their rack. Great family getaway for summer. Large property with two living rooms, 4 bedrooms and 3 new washrooms . Gravenhurst has implemented licensing for rentals. We have received our license . 10 minutes away from Gravenhurst and 20 minutes to Bala. Furnace and wood stove and fire pit on a municipal road. This is a no smoking property inside and outside. If you smoke you need to go to the road.
Two large living rooms and three full NEW washrooms and more. Sheets and towels not provided but pillows and comforters provided. Bring your swim suit and sand toys or snow shoes / cross country skis or tobaggan as the property is large, sandy beach and trails nearby. Summer Aenjoy the sandy beach with sand bottom lake front and entry to the lake is shallow and flat to reach. Great for the kids. Playground too. Kayaks, sup, peddle boat and canoe included in season. IF USING you must return them them to the rack and lifejackets to the bin. Hiking three minutes away. Just bring the steaks for the new napoleon bbq. and enjoy lunch on the deck. This modern executive cottage and property is ideal for families, friends and nature lovers with well groomed lovely landscaping -8 acres and wetland adjacent to property, fire pit with chairs and sandy flat entry beach. Snowshoe, snowmobile, skate and winter carnivals all around. Privacy when at the beach and cottage. Kayak, canoe and board are included with rental. Sports in the area and on the large property. Bring linens and towels. The home/cottage features an open and spacious two living areas with one wood stove and furnace along with 4 bedrooms and 3 washrooms. The master suite is private away from the main living area and includes a living room and a 3 piece ensuite, ensuring privacy. There is a private balcony off the master and large deck for entertaining off the main living area. There is plenty of room to run ...the possibilities are endless. Fall colours and lots of hiking but still have Summer-canoe, kayak and board still available for your use on the property and included in the price. Gravenhurst is 10 minutes away; Bala is 20 minutes away--lots to do and don't forget the famous bakery.
Please note: you must bring your own sheets and pillowcases and towels-I have lovely comforters and pillows. All brand new pillow top mattresses and clean modern facilities. No power boats or seadoos allowed.

The home is huge. Lots of room inside and outside. Great views of the lake from inside the house and on the large deck. Nice sandy beach with a floating dock and lily pad to swim to. Nice to see the family photos in the house to make you feel at home. Paula also very quick and clear to communicate with.

The cottage and grounds are beautiful. There is a large, broad lawn which contains a play structure and leads down to a small sandy beach and the lake, with a fence between them - perfect for the 2-, 4- and 6-year old children in our group. The cottage itself is beautifully laid out with ample bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of seven, a large dining room and comfortable spaces in which to gather. A few minor inconveniences: we would have liked to have had linens and towels provided by the host and some closet and drawer space available to us in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

The location is beautiful and quiet and the house is spacious and well laid out. The wood burning stove turned out to be essential and not just a cozy nice-to-have. Paula was very quick to respond when booking and was flexible with checkout which was wonderful. The only downside of the weekend were two regional power outages and realizing the cottage does not have a generator. This resulted in a loss of power for Saturday morning and evening meaning no ability to cook, shower or flush toilets. This also meant no heat aside from the wood burning stove and it was -30. We had my 80 year old mother and 6 year old grandson and a cottage without heat, or running water in the middle of winter is unpleasant. If you are going to rent this cottage be sure they have purchased a generator if you are there in winter.
