Very clean, wonderful location, just right for a couple’s retreat. The view of the Lake was gorgeous, and could walk anywhere in town easily. We loved the rustic charm of the rental. As noted in the listing, you can hear the people above you (if there are renters in the lodging in the top floor), so if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. There was a small freezer in the fridge, and the coffee pot was perfect for morning coffee on the lake (chairs provided).

The room was clean and looked exactly as pictured. The bathroom and shower were great. The location was perfect for walking and enjoying Grand Marais.

I would give this unit a 5 star rating if no one is in the upstairs room which we enjoyed one night. The other night we may as well have been sharing the room with the upstairs guest. It is a fun space but if you are noise sensitive I can't recommend.
