The Apartment
The apartment is located on the 5th floor (with an elevator) in the Port of Toulon. You’ll be right across from the sea and in the heart of Toulon’s maritime and historic district.
A 90m² two-bedroom apartment, very bright, fully equipped, air-conditioned, with fiber-optic Wi-Fi, TV, bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, and a washing machine. 1 separate toilet. Linens available as an option.

- Large double living room facing the sea with a sitting area—fiber-optic TV and Wi-Fi—featuring a terrace, dining area, and a spacious balcony.
- Large bedroom with a view of the harbor, featuring a large adjustable bed (2x80cm/200cm), a spacious work area, and a walk-in closet
- Bedroom with a 140cm/200cm bed.
"City Side"
At the foot of Toulon’s historic center, you’ll feel the Provençal spirit of the heart of Toulon with its Cours Lafayette market, one of the most famous markets in Provence. This is also the Arts and Opera district. The tourist train will take you on a guided city tour departing from the port.
"By the Sea"
Boat tours of Toulon Harbor, the most beautiful in Europe, and its military port
Boat tours of the islands of Port Cros and Porquerolles (1 hour and 15 minutes one way), protected islands designated as part of the "Heart of the National Park" since 2012. Departures are from the Cronstadt pier in the Port of Toulon.
Mistral water buses to visit the beaches of La Seyne-sur-Mer and Les Sablettes (15-minute ride)
The Mourillon beaches are a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute ride by bus or car. Free parking at the beach. Bus (Line 3 right outside the house).
The tourist office is a 1-minute walk away for all information and reservations.
The SNCF train station is a 10-minute walk away
Traveler access
Everything is within walking distance: the daily Provençal market, the Mayol shopping center, the historic district, and the beaches. The ferry terminal for the Porquerolles shuttle is a 2-minute walk away. Mayol paid public parking is 3 minutes away. Free street parking is a 5-minute walk away. The SNCF train station and bus station are a 12-minute walk away.

Once again, about parking!
You can find free parking along Avenue Infanterie de Marine and on Allée du 8 Mai 1945, which is an open-air parking lot for cars.
Paid parking is 3 minutes from the apartment: Q-Park Toulon Mayol Centre. This is the parking garage under the Mayol Stadium. It’s safe, clean, and convenient. 15 euros for 24 hours.
Finally, there’s the paid parking lot at the port, which is even closer.

stylish, bright and spacious 5th floor apartment in an iconic building overlooking the Vieux Port
- open, views through both sides of the flat
- impossible to be bored - activity in the harbour is fascinating - sailing boats, super yachts, warships, ferries, the occasional cruise liner
- safe and secure and with a lift
- no need for a car: public transport is excellent, everything is on your doorstep. The fruit and vegetable market is 5 minutes away
- the flat feels like someone's home so you will feel like you are in France. The owner doesn't speak English, so a working knowledge of French is useful.
- Be aware: the flat can be noisy because of the activity in the harbour. This is outweighed by the entertainment value.
- You will sometimes smell diesel from the boats. I accepted this as a consequence of having views over a working harbour
- in my opinion it's not suitable for small children because there is a lot of glass and sharp/hard edges
- the shower room itself is very nice, but there is only one small toilet located next to the main living area.
Toulon is a good base for a city/beach holiday: we caught the inexpensive boats from just below the flat to all the beautiful local beaches. Toulon is the principal home of the French navy and naval dockyard and that has a fascinating history. From the balcony, you can hear the bugle to raise/lower the French flag in the morning and evening. Such a pleasing and evocative sound.
