Located on Point Pelee Drive, the bunker is ideal for a couple, or an individual looking for a short term stay in the Leamington Area.

It boasts comfort, and Lake Erie living.

The outdoor picnic table and bonfire pit ensures you and your guest never miss a beat of the Lake Erie View

The bunker is equipped with everything you need, including a queen size bed with sheets, a love seat with recliners, washer and dryer, gas oven and stove, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer. The bath includes a fully tiled shower that adds a perfect touch of home.

The name of this property says it all. It is a perfect couples getaway. It was super cosy with high end finishes. Our host Gabriella was fantastic! Quick to respond and very friendly. The property had a fire pit and the sunsets were incredible. The area boasts the port pelee provincial park and within a short drive there is an abundance of wineries and breweries to visit. We had an amazingly perfect weekend away!

Such a cute little cottage that I wish was my own, to escape to, far enough from the town to feel away, but close enough for everything you need. SUPER comfy bed, good heating system, tankless hot water, cozy couch, lacking nothing.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 days. Accommodation was beautifully appointed and equipped with everything you could imagine, There was a spectacular view of the bay especially at sunset. Gabriella was very accommodating and very accessible. We would not hesitate to stay there again and strongly recommend Sunset by the Bay or The Bunker by the Bay.

We had a wonderful stay at Bunker by the Bay. It is perfect size for a couple. It has all the amenities that you require for a lovely getaway. It is a short distance to Pelee Provincial park as well as the ferry to Pelee Island. Remember to check in the little shed they have cornhole! The backyard overlooks the beautiful Lake Erie, there's a fire pit and a barbecue with picnic tables for your use. It looks exactly like the pictures you will not be disappointed!!

Property is on the smaller side but it served the purpose of our stay perfectly. The view of the lake from the kitchen made for some wonderful views , especially as the sun was setting / rising, we had a few really late nights so the usual 10am checkout was looking like a tall task and our host Gabriella was so kind to let us stay well after our expected check out. 10/10 experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway to this quaint destination overlooking the Lake Erie, Leamington Ontario that we managed to get away to. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility compared to the daily city noise in our current city. This location had all the comforts of home!

The property is well maintained, clean and close to Point Pelee National Park. Two people can comfortably utilized the living space. A family pass was included in the rental for the park and this gives you access to beaches, swimming, kayaking and biking.

We visited Pelee for an early-season bird-watching trip and had a very positive experience staying at this property. The Bunker had everything we needed, including cooking utensils, hot cocoa, cleaning supplies, and extra blankets. Gabriella even kindly included a park pass for guests to use! The lake view was unbeatable, and we saw quite a few birds (and even a mink!) from the comfort of the cabin. Gabriella was pleasant, responsive, and easy to reach. The only (expected) downside was the cold. We had rainy and windy April weather all weekend with temperatures falling to near-zero overnight. The Bunker is not well-insulated against freezing weather, and while the heater kept out the worst of the cold, it did get chilly inside at times. Didn't end up being a problem during our stay since we were often bundled up for outdoor activities and the blankets/warm drinks that were provided helped the rest of the time, but it is something to plan for if you visit during early spring or late fall. I'm sure it's not an issue during the summer. Overall, definitely a five-star experience and a place I would love to return to!
