We had a great stay at the cottage - it was super clean and provided everything needed for our stay with many small details such as extensive bathroom toiletries, an extremely well stocked kitchen, a binder with lots of information about the area and some snacks to enjoy. As this was my first booking with VRBO I was happy that the pictures in the posting were a true reflection of the cottage. I would definitely recommend this property. Lisa, the host, was great at communicating on the app.

Tha cottage has everything you need, very clean with all ameneties. It has a nice beach in a walking distance and also other interesting things within a short drive, like Point Pelee National Park, ferry terminal to Point Pelee Island. We enjoyed our stay a lot! Thank you, Lisa!

My partner and I were looking for a place to spend the weekend for our anniversary, and amongst payment issues and schedule changes, Lisa was incredible. She was flexible, accommodating, and lovely to communicate with. Now maybe we should have done some more research on the area, because it was quite buggy (we picked the wrong time of year), but other than that we had no complaints at all! Very close to a beautiful beach and a quick drive to groceries, restaurants, and hiking. We would definitely recommend staying here if you like no fuss comfortable accommodations.

My wife and I wanted a few days to relax, unwind, eat mexicain food and do some bird watching. The "Nest" provided a perfect little spot to do all that. The owners were great to communicate with. And the place wss very clean. We have already talked about going back next year.

Easy to find. An amazing quiet, clean. Had everyting we needed. Great location. Close to town, but not too close. Close to the beach and the marsh. The Birds Nest is a lovely little cottage that is immaculate, well maintained and well equipped with pretty much anything you'd need to enjoy your stay. At this time of year (Labour Day weekend) the birds, crickets and frogs singing provided the most amazing soundtrack for relaxing and sleeping!

This was our second time staying at the birds nest.. it was great the first time but has improved since! Lisa is so friendly and a great host - she goes above and beyond and truly thinks of everything to make your stay that much more enjoyable!! Her communication is amazing.. the place is also a literal 3 minute walk to a very private beach where we spent most of our time. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back as we start our family ☺️☺️

We had a wonderful little getaway. Cute cottage that was very clean and had everything we needed. The ac kept us cool in the living room and fans in the bedroom were awesome. So quiet and peaceful. Short walk to the water made for unforgettable morning coffee at the lake. Very pleased. Awesome communication with host and very caring.

My wife and I and our 2 children loved our stay at this wonderful little cottage. It’s cozy but not too small. Extremely clean and well maintained, with many great amenities—washer/dryer, dishwasher, barbecue, linens, towels, etc. Nice quiet location, about a 2 minute walk to Hillman Marsh Beach. It was less than 15 minutes into Leamington whenever we needed to pick up some groceries and supplies or if we wanted to grab dinner at restaurant. It’s located very close to Point Pelee National Park where we spent a couple of days visiting the point as well as hanging out at the excellent Northwest Beach. We also enjoyed sitting out on the front porch in the evening after the kids went to bed, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The host was easy to get in touch with if we had a question, but pretty much all necessary information was nicely laid out in a binder that you should read as soon as you arrive. We would 100% recommend giving the Bird’s Nest a visit if you’re looking for place to stay in this area.

Very nice cottage. The kids were comfy, lots of amenities provided. Quiet area close to beach. The kids really enjoyed the board games and treats provided. Mom and dad enjoyed the cold AC and watching a movie while lying on the pull out couch.

For a second year in a row, we chose Bird’s Nest at Hillman Marsh. Conveniently located near the town of Leamington, this delightful little cottage offers a charming escape and is the perfect oasis for relaxation. The cottage is impeccably maintained. The spacious and cozy living area has a comfortable couch and chairs, TV, DVDs, and board games for entertainment. The kitchen, fully equipped with all the essentials, a gas BBQ on the side deck allow for easy meal preparation and the gazebo offers a lovely spot to enjoy meals. The bedroom is a good size and comfortable, which ensures a good night's sleep. Located conveniently near Leamington, Wheatley, and the Point Pelee National Park, the cottage offers easy access to local shops, restaurants, and scenic walks. You may want to bring some cash with you as some fruit stands and even Taylor Fish Restaurant (yellow perch was delicious) accept cash only. The host is exceptionally accommodating, providing clear instructions and thoughtful touches that make the stay truly special. Having a pass to the Pelee Point Park was especially appreciated! This cottage is a gem, perfect for a peaceful retreat.

The Bird's Nest cottage was an ideal location for our 4-day bird-watching trip to Point Pelee National Park and the nearby Hillman Marsh thanks to its proximity to both sites. The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood a five minutes walk from the Hillman Beach. Everything we needed to make our breakfasts and lunches was available in the well-appointed kitchen; a variety of dinner options was available in nearby Leamington. The cottage comes with a season pass to the Park for the use of (and a substantial saving for) guests.

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were excellent. The whole house was well appointed and thoughtfully arranged to make our stay as easy and pleasant as possible. Lisa is an excellent host and I would happily stay at her place again.

What a wonderful cottage! Very clean and bed was comfortable! Lisa was a wonderful host, very accommodating, answered all our questions and provided everything we needed for our stay! Beach was very close with easy access. The back deck was great for relaxing in the sun. Pictures dont do this justice but my husband and I had a fantastic stay (2nd time). Located close to Hillman Marsh, the lake and point pelee. Absolutely beautiful in the Fall. Quiet and peaceful area to walk and enjoy the outdoors. Setup and ready for your stay, no need to bring anything from home. Very clean. They had books, games, dvd player, cable etc. We highly recommend and I know we'll be back.

This cottage couldn't have been better. Everything inside looked brand new and was stocked with anything we could have wanted/needed (laundry, kitchen, toiletries). It's a beautiful, quiet area too. 10/10

We reserved the room for 2 days for a short fishing trip. It was too rough to fish and Lisa got the place cleaned up as soon as possible so we could check in early. House was nicer than expected, clean and updated. Some nice touches like snacks were left for us. It has a nice gazebo in the back and a nice from porch I stood on watching a large storm roll in. I would highly recommend this home.

We stayed at the Bird’s Nest for a week and it was perfect! The cottage was very clean, cozy and cute, equipped with everything we needed and then some. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch or having our meals in the gazebo on the back deck. The location is great, too: there is a good sandy beach a 3-minute walk away. Leamington and Pelee Point National Park are about a 15-minute drive and the Park was very nice for riding a bike or just visiting. On the other side, there is Wheatley, with a great ice cream place (i Screams) and a couple of other stores. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we highly recommend the place.

Cottage was well maintained and very cute for a little cottage. Close walk to the beach which we got to enjoy. Also, not far from Point Peele which is nice ans the host also provided a pass for the park. All in all we enjoyed are stay and would recommend for anyone looking in the area.

Had a lovely 3 night stay at Bird's Nest. Lisa went the extra mile leaving snacks and bottled water which was appreciated. The cottage is lovely inside, lots of room for the two of us. We went biking at Pt Pelee (Lisa left a free pass!), and biked along part of the Chrysler Greenway, golfed nearby and hit a few wineries. Great location, close to everything. Also took advantage of the bbq and firepit. Great trip. Thanks Lisa

I was looking for a little getaway for my wife and son and found this gem. It had to be pretty close to Windsor because my wife and son dont drive .Well this place was perfect its quaint and quite with all anemities. The place is very nice inside and out with very clean and tidy home and yard .We had a great time! Will definitely book again.

Well-kept property, stocked with many key items one might forget to pack (eg salt and pepper/spices) as well as somw board games in case of rainy days. Bed was COMFY. Good shower pressure. It was a premium-level base camp for our birdwatching week, and only a stone throw from Hillman Marsh! We will be back =)
