This one bedroom, one bathroom unit is 686 square feet of scenic living. Equipped with a queen-sized bed and a full-size sleeper sofa, this space is perfect for up to four people. Enjoy an oversized lanai while watching the waves come in!
Located oceanfront in North Kihei, Kauhale Makai (in Hawaiian, “Village by the Sea”) is the ideal location for a family or couples retreat. Two buildings with 168 units total stretch towards the ocean on tropical grounds. The complex provides shuffleboard and volleyball courts, a pool, a children’s wading pool, hot tub, a putting green as well as gas barbecues. Each well-appointed unit includes its very own private lanai (balcony). The complex also has coin-operated laundry facilities on property for your convenience. Kauhale Makai’s location on South Kihei Road makes it the perfect base for exploring this magical island. Just minutes away are some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, superb shopping, renowned restaurants, and world-class golf.
The complex features great outdoor activities as well including a shuffleboard court, volleyball court, BBQ area, golf putting greens, pool, hot tub, lush grass areas and easy short walk to the beach access.
Communal Laundry Facility available on-site:
A washer costs 6 quarters a load, and dryers are 1 quarter for each 10 minutes. Soap packets and quarters can be purchased at the office on site. There is also an app you can download on your smart phone to pay for the items.

Everything was truly great! PM communication
Only issue was shared venalation and the pot smoking neighbors. Not a huge deal for some but ifif the kids were along it would have been.

First impressions. The front desk lady was unfriendly when we got there. I kept talking to her and finally she warmed a bit. I felt the office opening so late(9:30) was inconvenient. Condo was updated in some places, not others. Very stained shag carpet in bedroom. We re-mopped floors ourselves in kitchen and living room areas after noticing our feet getting dirty. Being over a parking lot meant listening to many car horns as people locked up. The hot tub was not turned in until 4 pm. I prefer to hot tub after my morning exercise.
On the positive side, the kitchen was well stocked. There were also many beach accessories and nice towels. There were nice outdoor barbeques. The office did not charge to print our boarding passes.
