About this cabin rental
Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life there is a cabin, bordered on two sides by rushing creeks, and situated in the middle of a working, family-owned, organic fruit and vegetable farm. Disconnected from the internet, it's the perfect place for adults to enjoy a digital detox and the perfect opportunity to commune with nature and each other. The house is furnished with antiques, most of which are available for purchase. From the covered wrap-around porch you can enjoy your coffee while watching the farm come to life each morning, relax while the afternoon sun glistens on the pond, or take in a night cap while listening to the sounds of cicadas, crickets and the creek. Stroll the farm, shop in the farm store for fresh veggies, local gourmet foods, and food related antiques. When you're ready to venture out you'll find miles and miles of hiking, streams teaming with trout, beautiful Lake Santeetlah, several up-scale dining options with great views, and all kinds of local artisans making everything from cheese, honey and eggs to pottery, carving and weaving. Nearby, you can explore the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, ride the Tail of the Dragon, visit the Biltmore, explore the local food scene, or try a few of the local breweries in Asheville, learn more about Cherokee history at the Oconoluftee Indian Village, peruse the outlet shops in Pigeon Forge, and much, much more! Western North Carolina is a beautiful and diverse region with something for everyone! So book your cabin, take a deep breath, and prepare to fill your senses with all our mountains have to offer. Each season brings its own bounty and there is always something to do. (Please note that we do not allow children or pets.)

I couldn’t have picked a better place to disconnect from daily pressures and re-ground myself. This cabin was perfect! The wrap around porch was the perfect place to enjoy the mountain views, singing birds and the constant burbling of the stream. There was even a family of groundhogs to watch scamper around. It was just so relaxing! I wish I could have had more time here. The cabin itself was spotless and smelled so fresh and clean.

We immediately commented on how nice it smelled when we walked in the door of the cabin and loved the streams on both sides of it. We have stayed in multiple places through this app, but i think we liked thsi 1 the best. It felt like home and we liked the privacy and solitude. There is no cell reception, so we bought a few games at the local DG. I haven't played chess since i was in middle school and re-learned how to play while we were there. My wife and I have even played a few more times since we got back home. Robbinsville/Tapoco is our favorite place in the mtns of NC, and are already talking about the next time we can get back up there to stay in this cabin again. Thank you to the owners for maintaining a clean and kept cabin.

This has become an annual "get together" for two of my old high school friends and myself. We live in three different parts of the country and get together here at this cabin and it could not be more perfect. Secluded, peaceful, beautiful mountains, babbling brooks and the cabin is spacious, comfortable and has everything we could want for our stay. The owners are accommodating and even have a store with home grown vegetables and antique type items for sale. Mornings we would sit on the deck, have coffee and watch the mountain fog roll into the valley and back out. Evenings sit around the fire pit and relax. If you can't decide where to stay between the many choices, you will not go wrong with this one.

I recently had an amazing stay at Stony Hollow Farm cabin in NC. The place was impeccably clean, cozy, and exuded a peaceful atmosphere. It provided the perfect escape from technology and the fast-paced life, allowing for quality time with family. Exactly what we needed for a rejuvenating getaway. Stony Hollow Farm exceeded expectations, thanks to the outstanding hospitality of hosts Scott and Stephanie. They made us feel truly welcome, enhancing our overall experience at this fantastic cabin retreat. Highly recommended!

This was a place that me and two of my best friends from High school who haven't seen each other in 40 years decided to reconnect. It was secluded, beautiful, serene... Just a perfect setting. The cabin was rustic but plentiful. The owners were charming and friendly and willing to communicate anytime we had a question. The farm store was fascinating go through. Bottom line if you want to get away, get some fresh air, get offline this is the perfect location. You can definitely do worse and probably will if you go anywhere else. We are already talking about making it an annual visit.

I hate to be the one to show less than 5 stars but I have to be honest. The biggest issue was with comfort: this is a fine cabin in the winter but it was still pretty warm in early Sept and there are only 2 A/C units in the cabin, and they're in each of the larger bedrooms. For just 2 couples it might be fine but we had 3. We wanted our friends to enjoy these rooms so we took the smaller bedroom, but there's only a fan. When our friends closed their bedrooms doors it cut off any A/C supply to the rest of the cabin. It got very warm outside of these 2 rooms and we could not sleep very well. The following nights we asked our friends to leave their doors open and we had to stack fans in their doorways to distribute the A/C. I rated the communications terrible because there's no celllphone signal and no internet, but that's my fault for failing to fully read the ad that states it's a "Detox" cabin that's isolated from communication with the outside world. The rest of the cabin was lovely, with a cozy living area, a nice movie selection for the DVD player, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, a dining room that accommodated all of us for game playing/meals, and a wrap around porch stocked with rocking chairs and a patio table/chairs. I was surprised at how many towels we had and their thickness, and the laundry room was nice for laundering clothes. It's in a lovely, quiet valley that's convenient to Robbinsville and Fontana.

Great place to slow the pace! Family weekend to explore Western NC ... We genuinely enjoyed our time at the cabin with the rushing creek, rocking chairs, morning coffee and a visiting hummingbird. The whole family was thankful for the time together --- plenty of room for all. The added bonus of antiques and farm fresh vegetables was great! Planning to make a return visit!

It was fantastic. We were there to ride motorcycles in the region and this property was perfect. It was very secluded yet centrally located to all of the riding in the area. As far as the property itself was beautiful awesome views. The cabin was great. It had everything we needed. It was very clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable. I especially enjoyed sitting on the porch having coffee in the morning while we planned our ride for the day. Overall was a beautiful place to go, also to just unplug for a while.

This was our second time staying at Stoney Hollow and it was just as great as we remembered. It's clean, well equipped, and the setting is really beautiful. We love sitting on the porch and listening to the water flow by in the stream. The location is close enough to both town and to the Dragon to be convenient for both. Don't forget to stop buy the barn and pick up some of the awesome tomatoes while your there.

We loved how peaceful the home was. The little babbling creek was so nice to hear, we recorded it! When we got to the cabin there were fresh cut flowers waiting for us on the inside and outside, it was such a nice touch. The view from the porch was beautiful. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked well and everything was clean.
Thank you!

My family really enjoyed our time at the Stoney Hollow Farm cabin. The owners were friendly and Scott provided great suggestions for outings around Graham County - there is a lot to do and see in the area. The cabin was comfy with nice touches like fresh flowers and had all the amenities that we needed. It was fantastic for my family to disconnect from our various devices and reconnect with each other and nature. Make sure to visit the farm store and get some great produce and maybe an antique too.

We had a pleasant and very peaceful stay at the cabin. With the exception of a cardinal flying into but not through various windows of the cabin the first morning of our stay, the only sounds we could hear were birds singing and the the creek flowing out in front. Scott and Stephanie were good hosts and the produce we got from their store was great. The extra tank of propane for the grill was a real plus. On July 4th, three of my adult children went to Fontana Lake to watch the fireworks show. My wife and I stayed at the cabin and I sat on the porch watching a light show put on by the fireflies with only the sounds on the creek.

The rustics property was very nice. The grounds were beautiful. The owners live nearby and were very friendly and accommodating and respect your privacy. The Cherohala Skyway and Great Smoky Mountains are a must see for the nature lover. Only negative was sketchy to no internet and cell service...but perfect for those trying to unplug. We recommend and plan to return.

We enjoyed our stay at Stoney Hollow Farm immensely! The cabin was clean, cozy, and in such a beautiful setting. We travelled to other attractions and places each day and were always excited to get back to our home away from home each evening. We stopped by the farm store on Fri. and Sun. as well and enjoyed home grown veggies and flowers. Highly recommend this cabin, just know that it is quite the drive to the tourist places (Gatlinburg, Pigeons Forge, etc) but if you don’t mind the drive then this spot gets you out of the crowds and into your own little peaceful and gorgeous spot on the map!
