Welcome to our cherished mountain cabin, a place where generations of memories have been made and where your own story can begin. Tucked into the heart of the Appalachian woods, our cabin has been a haven for our family and grandkids for many summers. It's a sanctuary where the sounds of the forest meet the gentle ripple of a creek, where starry nights are filled with fireflies, and where the great outdoors feels just a step away.
As you arrive, the wrap-around porch beckons, offering a perfect spot to rock in the chairs and take in the serene mountain landscape. It's here that we’ve spent countless evenings with our grandkids, sipping hot chocolate and sharing stories while the sun sets behind the peaks.
The cabin comfortably sleeps six, with two cozy bedrooms featuring queen-sized beds and a loft with a thick full-size futon. The two full bathrooms make it easy for everyone to get ready for a day of adventure. And when the day winds down, there's nothing like heading out to the deck to breathe in the fresh mountain air.
Our grandkids have always loved exploring the property. The small creek is a favorite spot to splash around, and the yard is perfect for a family game of kickball. And if you're into exploring further, we're just minutes from Fontana Lake, where you can enjoy boating and fishing, or take a scenic picnic at the Fontana Dam. The Great Smoky Mountain Railway, Santa Land, and the Gold Mines are just a short drive away, offering endless fun for kids and adults alike.
For the adventurous, our cabin is near the world-famous Tail of the Dragon and Moonshine 28, a paradise for motorcycle enthusiasts. Hike the Appalachian Trail, go whitewater rafting at NOC, or challenge yourself on the Class IV Cheoah River. The Cherohala Skyway and Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest are also must-see destinations.

We had a great trip, the cabin was even better than we expected. Some of the pictures may make it look dark or dated, not the case. The Cabin was bright and well decorated and everything you could need was provided. Very easy check in and check out, as well as good communication. We will book again.

This is the second time I've stayed here, for good reason. The property is clean, comfortable, and includes everything we might need. The porch is wonderful to relax on any time of day, but especially the mornings and evenings. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The location makes it easy to get to common sites such as Bryson City, the Tail of the Dragon, Fontana Lake, etc. We hope to stay again soon. Though it was only my wife and I this time, we could have easily had more people and we would've still been very comfortable.Thanks for the great stay!

After 9 months of being home bound homeschooling our children and working from home during this pandemic, we were looking for a quiet-safe spot to spend Christmas. This place certainly delivered and surpassed our expectations! No doubt we will be coming back; would even love to return in the summer for some of the fun activities it offers.It is a comfortable, clean home that comfortably sleeps a family of 6. The house has a great outdoor area with sitting, fire pit, and a swing my son spotted and couldn’t resist. it is in relatively close proximity ( less than 2 hours) of some of the white water rafting places, Fontana Dam, Cherokee Reserve, Cataloochee Ski Area, Pigeon Forge. This place offers both great summer and winter activities. The Nubelos were very responsive to our multiple questions timely and were very helpful with anything we asked.in terms of internet connectivity, you learn to appreciate the benefit of internet speed offered in the city. Also, the cellphone is spotty in the area as a whole, which is no fault of their own. A solution if you are trying to spend time at the house and use the internet would be to download shows in advance and expect some delays. My kids brought their gaming console for downtime. Bring or download digital books is also a great alternative. For calls activate WiFi calling to make calls when at the property. Since it is a secluded place, we did grocery shopping at a Walmart in Murphy (about 40 minutes away) prior to arriving to the property. There is also a small Ingles (grocery store) in Robbinsville, which is not a bad alternative.Our family enjoyed the week at this property and we without a doubt rent it again!
