SAINTE MAXIME Holidays In The Gulf Of Saint Tropez

Well-presented villa with excellent facilities located in a residential area around one mile from the beach front, and two miles from the boutiques and bistros in the attractive town centre and harbour area. We had stayed at the same villa three years’ earlier and so knew the villa, area and hosts. The modern, open-plan kitchen/dining/living space works really well and opens directly onto an attractive balcony where we generally ate and played games. The pool is also lovely though families with small children unable to swim would need to watch them as there isn’t a ‘shallow end’ and depth is c.1.4m. The villa is located in a residential area generally very quiet, though unfortunately for us during our stay there was building work being undertaken next door some of the time. Mobile adults and older children can easily and safely walk to the sea-front - it takes c15 minutes to walk - though a car would be needed for young children and anyone with restricted mobility. I went for morning or evening runs along the sea front and into the town most days - the main sea-front road is very busy with traffic but has both cycle and walk-ways that extend around the bay to St Tropez. I also hired a road bike from the local Intersport and enjoyed a day cycling in the hills around Grimaud and Plan de La Tour. St Tropez is easily accessible by car though traffic can be bad and is best reached by the regular passenger ferries from Ste Maxime.

This place is absolutely wonderful. The house is not only beautifully decorated but also feels like a true home, with every little detail thought of. The kitchen has everything you could wish for, and the pool is pure bliss. The hosts are incredibly kind – always quick to reply – and made us feel so welcome from the very first moment. Check-in was effortless, and their warm hospitality made our stay even more special. Nestled peacefully in the hills, it’s a little further from the sea, but the views and tranquility make it absolutely magical. We would comeback any time.

Lourdes is caring and a lovely host. We were very happy with the vila and all amendities. View from the terrace is amazing!
