Superb Villa with Private Pool and Sea Views

This is a very comfortable and well outfitted home. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and they are all equally nice. The heated pool is fantastic. Nicely decorated and an easy walk to town. Highly recommend.

Villa was in an ideal location. The pool was excellent and useable by children of any age. Communication with property manager was via What’s App and she was easily contactable. The villa was comfortable clean and large. Would definitely use again.

The house was much larger than I expected from the photos on VRBO, and suited our party well. We had 11 people in the house ranging in age from 5 to 70, and we were not in any way crowded. The pool and patio(s) were a highlight. Great location. It is possible to walk into Ste. Maxime, but it isn't a short stroll. There was a very nice beach in easy walking distance (Plage des Cigales), which saved a lot of potential parking angst. My only complaint is that the sofa bed is not really usable by an adult-sized person. It was pretty amazingly bad, but fortunately we had a 6-year-old who was quite happy with it. Nathalie, the property manager, was pleasant and easy to deal with and very responsive when we needed her. This house has spoiled me for all future vacations.

We have had a very nice 2 weeks stay. A nice and spacious house with a fantastic terrace and pool area. However, the house appeared quite worn and there were some areas where it did not meet our expetations i.e. spots in more bathrooms were out of order, only 1 out of 4 outdoor lamps on the terrace were functioning, the TV and the manuals for having this functioning was not in place. In the kitchen area there were too few knives, glasses and pots and the kitchen knives were useless . Many minor issues that impacted the overall impression. But a nice place with a nice location.

topp location, near to town and beach. Nice house with 5 bedrooms all with bath plus to toiletts. Pool very nice and children love it. Outside space for meals perfect. We could wish better wine-glasses and knives. :)

There were 10 of us mostly adults but with one 4 year old and one 87 year old. This was the 3rd Villa we have rented for a family holiday and on balance the best yet. The positives: Sylvie (the house manager) is great; the pool is great; it is genuinely within a 5 min walk of a beach, even with a 4 year old, but a much better and very nice beach is another 4mins further away; all rooms are spacious;aircon worked well and we needed it!; it was spotlessly clean; good kitchen and BBQ;view is great; it's a quiet area; Sainte-Maxime is nice; it's a pretty property. The (very slight) negatives: some of the bathrooms are a little "tired" although clean; the property is a good 30 minute walk from the heart of Sainte-Maxime and taxi's are not very plentiful. Overall: warmly recommended

The house is spaciaous and beautiful. Each of the five bedrooms has its own bathroom! Plus 2 additional halfbath. The house was clean and well equipped. The furniture in the kitchenen needs a little work (missing handle bares). We loved the big gas grill and the outdoors. The pool was clean and the garden well maintained. Linens, towels and beach towels were all in the house. The location was convenient und very quiet. Sylvie was very well-comming. We can recommend it for up to 10 people, exspecially for families with older children. Beautiful vacation!!

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at this villa. Everything was so lovely, excellent accommodation , location, we all loved it. The cleaners/manager were excellent and we got into villa in good time, everything was as described. The décor was excellent and the villa was well equipped. We spent most of our time in the pool or on the patio but it is also very close to the beach. We loved the area and Sainte Maxine has everything you could wish for. Very quiet area apart from our slightly annoying pool alarm!

Situated in St Maxime. But a little to far. For a walk into the town for some of the younger and older members of the family. Easy to drive down and park in the Town centre. Beaches nearby in easy walking distance from villa. Pool is lovely with sunbeds and umbrellas and beach towels provided. Has gas barbecue for outdoor cooking and large range cooker in kitchen. All bedrooms have ensuites.. Washing and drying facilities too. No maid service during our two week stay but we just washed and dried towels etc ourselves . So many places to visit and things to do . Visits to Gorges of Verdon and Lake St Croix recommended as well as closer trips out to St Tropez (by boat not car) Port Grimaud and Nice.

A swim followed by breakfast on the terrace was a perfect way to start the day.As we had only five staying in the end, the villa catered for us easily but there were a number of snags. On the night of our arrival we suffered a power outage which we could not fix ourselves, the fuse box being in a locked room. Sylvia turned out and fixed it. Having recovered from that, at 2 am we were woken by the pool alarm going off. This it did intermittently during the week twice at night! There was a pervasive smell of drains during the whole week. A plumber came to the property on Wednesday but was unable to correct it. The automatic gate to the property did not work. Again a man came to fix it with no result. A number of other minor issues were irritating - one fridge not working, though there was ample space in the others. Some door shelves in the main fridge were missing.The lady looking after the property was as helpful as she could be but she required the owner's consent to do things.I was also irritated by threats to charge if the property was left in an unsatisfactory state, towels not put on to wash and if the barbecue (very good by the way) was not cleaned properly. Of course we sought to comply with these requests but with a departure time of 10 am, a family with children might struggle to put everything in place.That said, these were minor irritants during a very enjoyable week. Would we go back? Only if we were certain that the faults had been fixed and the pervasive smell was gone.Writing the day after our return I can truly say we had a great time.

The house is very comfortable and well-equipped and the view from the terrace is delightful. If you enjoy a holiday spent lounging around the pool, this property would be an ideal holiday let. We, however, prefer to get out and about a little and had looked forward to visiting many places in the area. Sadly we saw very few of these as the sheer volume of traffic made it a nightmare to turn out onto the main road - and this off season! Admittedly, the roadworks at a roundabout added to this, but in high summer it must be dreadful. Of course, there is a beach nearby, but the steep hill on the return trip would prove a trial for some, especially in the heat of summer. And walking back from town in the sun would tax all but the youngest and fittest. These criticisms would obviously not worry a group of young, fit people, but there were some other problems which apply to all ages. When we arrived, we were greeted by a most unpleasant odour throughout the whole of the upper floor. This, we later worked out, was due to faulty plumbing from the washing machine. This cannot have been a one-off occurrence and should surely have been rectified before our arrival. As it was, the smell was very unpleasant in 2 of the upper bedrooms and the 3rd was so bad that we were unable to use it! The smell took a couple of days to clear, but recurred when, as requested, we washed the pool towels on the eve of our departure. This is the first time we' have ever been asked to do the washing and we feel that, in that case, they should at least supply washing liquid/powder, rather than our having to buy it ourselves! We have used Owners Direct/HomeAway for several years and have always had frequent contact with the owners prior to our stay. This time we heard from Padraig only when payments were due. Fair enough, but we expected a few more details after making the final payment. But still nothing. In the end we contacted the helpline who got in touch with Padraig who then sent the address and contact name - but no phone number for us to arrange timings. We again tried to get hold of Padraig but with no luck so once again we contacted the helpline and in the end received the info just one hour before we set off! At the gîte too communication was very poor with no helpful folder of advice and instructions. Apparently, Padraig had taken it away to update it! Shouldn't this have been done beforehand? A lovely gîte with early-season teething problems!

We were 3 generations celebrating Easter holiday in Sainte Maxime and we all enjoyed the house, the terrace and the pool. Thank you.

We spent 5 nights (we planned for 4 but added one more) at villa Piere ( 2 families of 4 adults and 4 children) and we really enjoyed the place from all points of view - location, layout, amenities... The property managers were very kind and also the emails exchanged with the owner were very friendly. We travelled around quite a lot and discovered a little gem called Port Grimaud a few minutes drive from propriety - thanks Charlotte for a great tip. We will come back in the future

We have just had a superb week at Villa Pierre with my adult family. The villa is on a corner site, very private just a short stroll to the beaches and a half hour walk to the centre of Sainte Maxime. We know the area well and picked the villa so driving wasn't essential as the coast road is very busy. We also have bikes and take full advantage of the excellent cycle path along the coast. The photos, although recently improved, rather understate the size and decor of the villa. It is very tastefully and simply decorated and both the communal areas and bedrooms, particularly downstairs are a great size. The terrace and pool area were great for 8, maybe a bit tight if more adults than that. There is also a lovely quiet area with dappled shade we used a lot. The managers responded well to a couple of niggles which needed resolving. Shame it had to end! ,

The villa was just as I imagined. Beautiful and spacious in a lovely setting. Five minutes walk from a gorgeous little sandy beach along the promenade between Ste Maxime and Grimaud. The pool and weather were perfect. There were areas of shade to relax in and we were able to eat outside every day. The promenade walk into the centre of Ste Maxime was arduous during the day because of the length and heat. It took well over 30 minutes. The restaurants and shops in the centre were great and the promenade walk in the evening was stunning and enjoyable. Taking a car into Ste Maxime wasn't an option as the traffic was very heavy. We did have a few issues on the first day but these were rectified and Charlotte and Mark who were on hand to deal with any problems were a very helpful couple. We were 9 adults in our family party celebrating my husband's 70th birthday and we had a fantastic holiday.

Firstly apologies this review is late! We stayed 13th-21st June 2016. We were a family group: 1 under 1, me and my husband, 2 sets of grandparents and my sister in law. The villa was perfect for what we wanted; good sized property (bedrooms, 2 reception rooms-we didn't even use the second), well equipped (kitchen utensils, high chairs, travel cot, BBQ), pleasant outdoor terrace overlooking the pool with a nice view. Charlotte and Mark, the property managers, were really friendly and helpful. We did have a couple of issues whilst we were there but these were dealt with within the week. One note: You definitely need a rental car (not just for day trips but also to get to the supermarket or boulangerie).

The house is nice but it is a little too far to walk to beaches and restaurants etc, especially in the summer sun. However our week was ruined by the air conditioning being broken on the day of our arrival. All we kept being told was that it will be fixed tomorrow and I'll be in touch. We ended up being been therr all week and it never got fixed. We were travelling as a family of 4 with 2 small children and my wife was 3 months pregnant, we would never have booked anywhere without Aircon and have found it very difficult spending the week at around 30degree plus with no reprieve. If the villa had been prepared prior to our arrival and the aircon put on the day before or even earlier in the day it would have been obvious to anyone that it did not work and therefore provisions could have been made to help make our stay more comfortable(ie rent some stand alone aircon units). As it was, it was us who contacted the manager on the Sunday after our arrival to report the issue. I must say the house manager Charlotte & her husband Mark are lovely people and have continually apologised profusely, but they can only work within the remit they are given and apologies do not make up for a week of poor sleep. They did bring some fans mid week but these did not help much as they just blow the hot air around. Then on Wednesday they brought a small cool air fan unit that you put ice in that they had from her parents, and I thank them for this. However if you can not provide the service you have offered, and sold, then you should make alternative provisions available not let paying guests suffer. If you are not able to fix the issue you should offer adequate redress. I have said all week that if it can not be fixed then please let us know and we would go and book into a hotel or try and find alternative accommodation, however, it's always we will be in touch or it will be fixed tomorrow. We will be making a formal complaint to owners direct on our return and we will be seeking adequate compensation through whatever means necessary. Needless to say this has put me off staying in private villas. Do not give this owner your money, stay somewhere else and do not risk wasting your money on someone who has no concern for your comfort during your stay.

Party of 6 Adults and 3 year old grandson - perfect accomodation, gave everyone their own space if they wanted it but the living area and kitchen was a great gathering point. Very well equipped , comfy beds and furnishings, quiet location but an easy walk into Sainte Maxime or short drive to Port Grimaud and St Tropez. We had great weather so the pool was well used - well thought out pool, good swimming area but nicely stepped shallow end for toddlers and small kids. Grandson loved it and would give it 5 stars if he could type. Property layout would suited lots of different guests combinations which makes it a very attractive option. Very helpful house management folk who accomodated out rather odd travelling times dictated by our flights to and from Nice. Property is probably better than described, it was clean and well maintained only downside was having to leave !! Thoroughly recommend - we have a holiday home that we rent out ourselves in Edinburgh Scotland and we know when the owners etc make an effort to provide a good holiday experience and this villa certainly came into that category.

A great villa just outside Sainte Maxime. All rooms were en-suite and the villa was in really good condition. Lovely outdoor seating area with gas BBQ. Nice lounge but didn't get used much! Kitchen had everything needed to cook and plenty of fridge space. The pool was ideal. Walking distance into Sainte Maxime centre (25-30mins) but glad we rented cars to get to Supermarkets. Villa greeter was accessible for queries and useful source of local knowledge. Didn't want to leave!

The welcoming lady "J" was amazing and she had light all the candles even by the pool, which gave the villa a lovely relaxing ambiance... The rooms all with en-suite are wonderful... having two separate bedrooms and a lounge downstairs gave us all plenty of room to spread out...The pool is lovely and the veranda is great to sit and relax on or eat and have a BBQ...The location is 25 mins walk from town then a boat ride to St Tropez is great... We had a wonderful time at the villa and will rebook next year...

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in diesem Haus. Zimmer, Bäder, Küche, Aussenbereich und Pool sind sehr gepflegt und strahlen echte Urlaubsatmosphäre aus. Auch die Lage nahe Ste.Maxime hat unseren Erwartungen voll entsprochen.

Geräumig, super Einteilung, gute Ausstattung!

Nous avons passé 10 jours en octobre 2020 et nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. La maison est bien située, dans un cadre calme, sans vis à vis, à 5 minutes à pied de la mer et à 20 minutes à pied du centre ville de Sainte Maxime. La maison possède 5 chambres toutes avec une salle de bain. Les deux chambres du sous-sol sont les plus grandes et recemment rénovées. Les 3 du rez de chaussée sont plus petites mais ayant chacune une porte fenêtre avec vue sur la piscine. La cuisine est spacieuse de même que les deux séjours. Il y'a assez de chaises et de vaisselle pour tout le monde. Buanderie bien équipée au sous-sol. Piscine chauffée ce qui nous a permis de nous baigner en octobre. Jardin bien entretenu et bien agencé. Un vélo à disposition. Une place de parking extérieur mais beaucoup de place dans la rue pour se garer sans souci. Le chauffage fonctionne très bien (et probablement la clim aussi). La décoration est sobre et jolie. Les meubles en bois plein sont assortis dans toutes les pièces. Quelques petits points négatifs: La maison manque un peu d'entretien : quelques ampoules grillées à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur, des robinets réparés sommairement, les volets qui ferment mal. La télé n'a pas marché pendant tout le séjour (orage). Il n'y a pas verrou sur aucune porte des toilettes et salles de bains et chambres ce qui peut poser problème pour l'intimité. Mais globalement, le séjour a été excellent. La maison peut accueillir facilement 5 couples ce qui en fait un excellent rapport qualité prix si on se partage les frais.

Die Ausstattung vom Haus ist gut, die Lage ideal (5 - 10 Minuten Spaziergang zu einem sehr schönen Strand). Für uns perfekt war, dass man sowohl Pool, Terrasse und Untergeschoss absperren konnte (1 1/2 jährige Enkelin), so konnten alle entspannt die Woche geniessen.
