In all our years of traveling, and using a home stay, this property was one of the worst experiences. The hosts are hard to get a hold of, and when we did get hold of them a few days before we were to arrive we were told that they would not be here and we had to drive to their house, find a lockbox, get the key, then drive to the apt and let ourselves in. We were assured it would be easy, which I am sure it is if you live in Fussen and speak German. We were also assured there would be parking, there was not, and we were not instructed about what floor the apt was on, and how to even find the actual apt once the building was found. Once we finally found the apt, we were greeted with a sparse room, with no extra bedding or pillows, as well as nothing to make coffee with. In every other place we have stayed at this was something the hosts always supplied. All the info about the apt, and the area, was on a table in German. The bed was also hard as a rock, and we were just fed up at that time so we left and stayed at a hotel nearby. For an extra $10 Euro a night you can stay at a nice hotel, with VERY EASY check in, with someone there to help you if you need it. When we messaged the hosts that weren’t staying there we never heard back from them. There does not seem to be a lot of care or concern for the guest o the host’s part and this brought on unnecessary stress during our holiday.

The apartment was wonderful and had everything we needed for a weekend in Fussen. It was clean and well equipped. We were traveling with our 8 month old son and Paula and Wolfgang even provided us a travel crib. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking to explore Fussen and the nearby castles.

What a pleasant surprise! This comfortable, sweet apartment met all our needs. It was very clean, neat and well designed to feel at home. Paula and Wolfgang Schopper provide answers and extensive information in their typed pamphlet about everything someone needs to know, from where to shop to various physicians in the area if needed.
