About this apartment rental
Our house is located in a very quiet area in Hopferau near Füssen in the “Southern Allgäu” vacation region, close to Neuschwanstein Castle, and is the ideal place for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation any time of year.
You’ll find a warm and cozy atmosphere in our comfortable, newly renovated vacation apartments with free Wi-Fi, which accommodate 2–3 people. Our apartments are equipped with dishwashers. Shopping and restaurants serving home-style cuisine are just a 5-minute walk away. Within a radius of about 10 km, you’ll find many attractions such as Neuschwanstein Castle, the town of Füssen, Lake Forggensee with boat tours, mountain railways, thermal and water parks, an ice rink, a paragliding school, and more.
In winter:
You’ll find wonderful skiing on the superbly groomed slopes within a 10–25 km radius of Schwangau, stretching from Pfronten and Nesselwang all the way to the Tannheimer Valley in Tyrol, Austria.
Hiking and Biking Paradise:
Right from the door, you can enjoy our Alpine foothills as a hiker’s paradise. Take a stroll through the lush green meadows and forests, or around the idyllically situated natural lakes. For a more challenging hike, head up to one of the many alpine huts, which invite you to enjoy a hearty snack. Of course, mountaineers and rock climbers will also find plenty to enjoy as they take in the magnificent mountain panorama from the 2000 - 2400 -meter-high summit. If you enjoy cycling—whether on a mountain bike, trekking bike, or road bike—everyone will find a route that suits them among the many hundreds of kilometers of marked bike trails and paths through our foothills of the Alps. If you don’t want to bring your own bike, there’s a bike rental shop in town with a good selection of all types of bikes.
Attractions: Local guided tours are available at Hopferau Castle, the alpine dairy in Lehern, the Mariahilfer Sudhaus brewery in Speiden, and demonstrations at the local soap factory.

I visited for 5 days recently and was overwhelmed by the amazing apartment. The friendly owners clearly love their house and keep the apartment that I stayed in on the top floor immaculately. I had a huge deck and views out of every window to the alps. I could even see the mountains from my bed. There is a full kitchen with every cup, plate, pot, pan and utensil you could need and even salt and pepper and some essentials. The bathroom, living room and bedroom are really large and well furnished.
The space is well heated on cold nights and has lots of natural light. The beds are comfy, the windows have block out curtains and the area is quiet so I got good sleep. The owners are delightful and helpful. The internet worked fast and effectively. I also used the laundry while I was there and used the drying rack in my room to dry the clothes out on my deck. It was like a home away from home...just perfect. I will most certainly be coming back there to stay when I visit my daughter again. Thank you!
