The Calabernardo Apartment is located in the seaside village of Calabernardo district (Noto, Marina di Noto) in Via levanzo n 7, a few steps from the sea cliff (50 meters) and the sandy beach (400 meters).
Clean and unspoiled sea.
Very quiet area for a holiday in contact with the sea and nature.
The structure is located in a perfect position to be able to visit in a few minutes the most famous and renowned attractions of south-eastern Sicily;
at 7 km the splendid city of Noto, capital of the Baroque and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site;
at 8 Km the Villa del Tellaro with its mosaics;
Calamosche natural beach at 9 km;
at 10 km the famous Vendicari WWF nature reserve;
at 15 km the marine village of Marzamemi and the beach of San Lorenzo;
at 4 km the highway entrance to easily reach the cities of Syracuse, Modica, Ragusa and Catania.
The villa consists of 2 apartments with independent entrance:
First floor with sea view (Red Apartment);
Ground floor with garden view (Tortora Apartment).
Red Apartment 1st floor: 2 bedrooms, 1 relaxing living room with sofa bed for 2 people, 1 kitchen room, 2 bathrooms (1 with shower), veranda with sea view with table, chairs, umbrella and deck chairs. Washing machine, total beds 6.
Tortora Apartment Ground floor: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with shower and washing machine, 1 with large corner bath) 1 relaxing living room with sofa, 2 single sofa beds, 1 kitchen room with dishwasher, 1 veranda overlooking the garden with table, chairs , deck chairs and barbecue, the bedrooms and the living room kitchen are air conditioned. Total beds 6.
The apartments are furnished in a modern style and are equipped with all the comforts for a relaxing holiday. We provide: hairdryer, toaster, microwave, kettle, linen (sheets / set of towels), table linens and everything needed for the kitchen.
Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Considering that we picked this property from among thousands on the internet, we did VERY well indeed! Despite our lack of knowledge of the Italian language, the owner did a fine job to communicate with us in a timely and accurate manner. He was attentive to all of our needs over and above what we expected. This is a safe place for us and a car which is ESSENTIAL to profit from the exciting sights that Sicily has to offer. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a fine seashore view and a nearby sandy beach while remaining private and "secluded". For getting around the island we had a Fiat Panda and that size car is prefect to negotiate the often narrow city streets where one can easily get lost without a good offline tablet GPS (Sygic). Our month-long vacation experience in Carabernardo has exceeded by far our most optimistic expectations - thank you Giovanni!

The owner met us promptly on our arrival despite our flight being delayed for an hour. They showed us around the property ensuring we knew how things worked (e.g. the utilities such as gas, water and the wi-fi was working within 2 hours of our arrival). The owner also came out to fix the wi-fi the following day after we contacted them because of problems caused by a storm.
Good kitchen facilities with gas hob, electric even, fridge / freezer and microwave all of which we made good use of.
The property was clean and spacious and situated in a very quiet and relaxed road within a minute’s walk to the sea. When the sun shone in our second week we enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a nice view of the sea.
We ended our holiday feeling much physically healthier and relaxed due to the mild spring climate and fresh sea air. Having left the U.K. covered in snow it was wonderful to get an early taste of the Sicilian spring, a much needed tonic at this time of year. It was a little cold at night during our first week but then we knew that this was likely to be the case in late March in Sicily.
The property is situated within a 10 minute drive to Avola with good local supermarkets and Noto with it’s wonderful baroque architecture. It’s also within an hours drive to the equally scenic delights in Ortiga Island, Syracusa, Ragusa and Monica.
We would thoroughly recommend a visit to this property for a quiet, relaxing holiday to recharge your batteries but also being within easy reach of both the beautiful natural scenery of it’s coastline and countryside and the wonderful historical towns of south east Sicily.
It’s a good value for money property with a helpful owner willing to respond to your requests for help.

Great location, kind and friendly owner, close to the sea. Spacious and clean housing with well equipped kitchen. Big terrace and our own garden, even had some fresh edible herbs growing. Really felt like home to us.

We stayed in the apartment in October. It was in a quiet area, about 50
meters from the rocky sea coast (a good sand beach is only 400 meteres
away along the seaside road; another larger beach is about 2km away by
car). Our stay was only over 3 days, so we didn't get a chance to
completely enjoy all the amenities like the coal BBQ, or the outside
dining table and the loungers, which our host generously provided.
Everything was clean and worked well in the apartment, we enjoyed the
stay, and the sound of the sea at night. There's a restaurant nearby and
a vegetable seller comes by every morning to offer fresh veg and fruit
from the back of his car. (However, we chose to eat at Noto instead).
