This fully remodeled ground floor 2 bedroom condo, a short walk to the many services of Central Kihei, features a contemporary master bath and wide open lanai glass doors.
The KONA storm flooding of March 19-22 damaged South Kihei Road requiring extensive repair. All other Kihei roads are open and drivable.
The road to HANA, a popular excursion, is open only to residents, and is controlled by the State of Hawaii & Maui County. Hale Kai O'Kihei Condominium was NOT directly affect by the storm and is fully open.
** Lahaina Fire & Pandemic note; Most of South Maui, Central & Up Country services have returned to pre-pandemic levels at this date - March 23, 2026. West Maui recovery is proceeding except for Lahaina, a total loss. The rebuilding of Lahaina is progressing slowly, but with determination. A few Lahaina businesses have relocated to S. Kihei, including the popular restaurant 'COOL CATS' Located in Kukui Mall. 'Businesses are continuing to expand their services allowed by the State of Hawaii and Maui County as more & more vacationers return to Maui. This oceanfront 2 bedroom condo is located on the ground floor of the Hale Kai O'Kihei complex. The complex is located in Central Kihei steps from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants, shops, banking, personal services, public transportation and Times Market [a large grocery store]. Azeka Mall provides retail shops, restaurants, a hardware store, fitness centers, a CVS 24 hr. Drug Store and hosts a large town party the fourth Friday of each month with live music, craft merchants, youth demo's, many food vendors and a beer garden. Safeway and Foodland Super-Markets anchor neighborhood mini-malls ~ one mile away.
The condo lanai [patio] faces the ocean offering spectacular sunsets each evening and where you can listen to the waves crash on the beach. The lanai offers a sweeping 180˚ westerly view of the beautiful blue Pacific where the seasonal [winter] visits of Humpback Whales entertain with spectacular rolls and breaches.
Our condo now offers two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and upgrades throughout. Upscale appliances and a zoned A/C is available when needed. The master bedroom is fitted with a king size bed and the second bedroom offers twin beds. Both bedrooms are equipped with privacy screens.
Our location is convenient to the many adventures Maui offers. Nearby marinas offer charter services of snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, whale watching, sunset dinner cruises and a World Class Aquarium. And there are many shops nearby offering full lines of surfing and snorkeling gear. The many touring services offer excursions to Maui's many sights, from early morning trips to 10,000 foot Haleakala (Reservations Required) or a day long trip to Hana and beyond, you can be picked-up at your condo. The beaches of Maui are available to all with many 'beach access' sites signed to help you locate and investigate the varying features of the shoreline. OCT. 27, 2021 - Wai'anapanapa Black Sand Beach Park near Hana and Iao Valley Monument in Wailuku have instituted reservations program (1-14 days advanced) with entrance & parking fees. As of 1/1/2026, Maui County is rolling out a fee-based parking program for the popular beaches and other tourist attractions.

You will have access to the internet via private wi-fi ( recent download speed tested at 200-400+ Mbps) and internet phone service that provides free local and long distant phone services to the US, Canada and wherever there is good internet service.

We had an amazing time. Perfect spot for a young family. Our hosts were amazing and we are thankful for their hospitality! This is a great location, close to town, easy access to the wider community and highway and walkable to shaved ice (a plus for us!).

Our kitchen was fully stocked with all the amenities needed. Our view was wonderful. We enjoyed our morning coffee by the ocean & evening drinks watching the beautiful sunset.

Property and location is perfect - however, we had disruption of our visit due to maintenance of the exterior of the property (2 days staining exterior door which needed to be kept open, 2 days parking lot line painting, and about a week due to refinishing stone tiles). The owner was lovely and very apologetic but I explained we came for rest and relaxation and the maintenance work negatively impacted our experience. One of the other owners shared that they want to get the maintenance done when they have the owner's gathering during the first few weeks of November. We stayed in the same place last year in early November and did not have this experience. We were disappointed this year as we had such a peaceful and quiet experience the previous year.
