This updated historical cottage has maintained all its historic charm while shining with quality furnishings and appliances. Located in Empire, just three blocks from Lake Michigan Beach, this home makes a fantastic home base for any Lake Michigan getaway.
After a fun-filled day at the lake, come home to brisk air conditioning, high speed WiFi, and a private washer/dryer. Lounge in the living room together or head to the spacious kitchen to prepare a meal together. On nice nights, take to the deck for grilling and alfresco dining. Round the night out with stargazing by the glow of the firepit.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Quiet neighborhood. Very dark in the lodge part and a bit musty. Found a dish full of water under the sink in the kitchen. Obviously leaking, causing the mustiness.

We loved having morning coffee on the porch watching all the dog walkers and bikers go by. It was such a quick walk to the beach and the Empire shops. We made multiple trips back and forth to the beach; our last trip of the day was to watch the sunset. The kitchen is large and accommodate all the cooks and bakers in the family. We hope to make our stay here an annual family event.
