Staying at the Lodge was a great experience. These lodges / cabins are not new but are immaculate and maintained to a very high standard. Inside is furnished very well. The location is perfect for stargazing and hot tub keeps you warm and although there are other cabins the spacing is such you feel secluded. A great base for visiting the local attractions and if not wishing to go far saying hello to the onsite varied animals is worth doing. This was our second visit and would do it again.

Staying in the Lodge at Airhouses was a fantastic experience. The countryside environment was quiet and provided great walking opportunities. The space between the accommodation provided good privacy so you could enjoy the relaxation of the hot tub without disturbance. Everyone you met was welcoming and very friendly. It's the perfect place for rest & relaxation. Highly recommended.

We had such an enjoyable fortnights stay in The Lodge.We didn't know this part of Scotland ,and found it to be ideal, attractive walks with our dogs, interspersed with interesting abbeys, and a highlight visit to see The Tapestry of Scotland in Galashiels. If you are interested in craft projects,and or history, I would say it a must see, I thought it was fantastic. The Lodge itself was perfect for a couple, and in our case 2 medium sized dogs. Very clean and comfortable, with superb views of the Lammamuir Hills, a view I miss! Martin was very personable and on hand should you need him. All in all a great break, would highly reccomend.

Just leaving now after a wonderful stay at The Lodge in Airhouses. We stayed here once before about 9 years ago and everything is just as good, I'm so glad we returned for another stay. The accomodation itself is top class, lovely cosy lodge with everything you need to enjoy a self catering holiday. Every cooking utensil you could hope for, bath towels and leisure towels, lovely shampoo/shower gel etc. Even got a smart TV with Netflix available and some board games. Can't forget about the hot tub and BBQ in the outside space which we took full advantage of. We love the site itself with all the animals which you can feed by purchasing little bags from the honesty shop. You've got pigs, ponies, sheep, goats and donkeys which you can feed. Incorporate a walk around the site using the footpaths and it's a lovely wee afternoon! Damian the GM was a lovely chap and welcomed us on our day of arrival. Also, stopped for a chat etc when we bumped into each other out and about. He's available by text/phone should you need anything during your stay. Also, special mention to The Tower Bar in the village of Oxton. It's recently been taken over by a retired couple and Mavis was so friendly. It's a nice walk down if you fancy a few drinks.

This was the latest of many visits to Airhouses but the first as a couple. We found The Lodge to be just as well equipped and comfortable as the larger lodges. It was cosy without being claustrophobic and possibly had the best view of all. We shall be back next year!

This was our second time staying at Airhouse's. The welcome pack with local produce was a very nice touch. Host came past, not long after we arrived, to check all was ok. Weather was great so we made full use of the barbeque. The lovely little coffee shop was new to us and we really enjoyed coffee in the nice cups. Great place to stay for a restful holiday.

We had a wonderful stay in the Lodge.It is the perfect place to relax and unwind . So very comfortable, peaceful and with such fantastic views from the Lodge, what more could you want. We had a hare to see us in the morning and house martins nesting whilst we were there. The weather was good and the hot tub a great way to spend an evening. Thank you all for making it special

Enjoyable tour of the farm with Damien to meet the animals and to hear about the farm's history. Well off the road so peaceful and tranquil making for a very relaxed break. Fabulous views from the lodge and hot tub.

The Lodge was beautifully clean and well maintained. It's compact but we managed with the 2 of us and our dog, and the utility room gave us a bit extra room. Small outdoor table and 2 chairs on the top balcony and another set by the hot tub. The hot tub was on the lower deck and we could lock the gate on the top part which was great as our dog could see us. The views are amazing from both lodge and hot tub with the sun in the morning and late afternoon. The site has some lovely pet animals with the pigs just adorable. Good connection with WiFi. Could do with a few more utensils like serving spoons, plastic glasses and more mugs. Bed was so comfortable. Storage for clothes was small and would have preferred a set of drawers rather than dressing table. Lovely hot and powerful shower with the biggest rain shower head ever! Was a fabulous comfortable stay.

The Lodge at Airhouses was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need. We were greeted on arrival and infomed of the amenities on site. The hot tub was very clean and checked twice daily. There is plenty of walking/cycling directly from Airhouses and 10 mins train journey intlo Edinburgh only a 25 minute car drive away.

Lovely setting and very relaxing. Suitable for couples and families. Good to have all the farm animals to see and feed - especially for younger children. Nice touch to have the honesty shop for essentials, and the pop-up cafe on site. Customer service was great - the proprietors were very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome.

What a wonderful place to stay! The farm is beautiful and will make you feel very at peace, the views are picturesque and even more spectacular while relaxing in the hot tub. The animals will welcome you with a warm hello and capture your heart, I almost didn’t want to leave! Elisabeth and Damian made sure we had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed the pop up coffee shop and walking trails.

Airhouses is set in the most spectacular countryside. This was our fifth visit but we were still able to find a new walk from the door of The Lodge ( to the start of "Walk with Cuthbert the shepherd", pilgrim trail). Other more familiar walks were as lovely as ever. The hot tub, even with flurries of snow, was great fun. The Lodge is a perfect size for two and is very well appointed. We would strongly recommend this as a holiday destination.

Beautiful location with stunning views. Loved being right in the farm environment. Fully equipped lodge, very clean and comfortable with a generous welcome pack. Help always available from Damien and useful advice especially after some heavy snow! We even got a display of the Northern Lights but guess that’s not guaranteed.

The lodge is in a beautiful location - the views are phenomenal & the animals truly make the whole experience. We were able to buy feed from the honesty shop & feed all of the friendly animals. Short break with my husband. We stayed in capercaillie earlier this year and loved it so much we came back! The lodge is perfect for 2, everything you could need is provided. The hot tub is lovely with a view of the fields. Very relaxing.

Absolutely fabulous place, lodge was spotless with everything and more you could need. Even a welcome basket for us and one for our dog. Place was so peaceful, facilities second to none. Hot tub was sparking and checked twice daily every day! Staff extremely helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

Airhouses is my favourite place, I prefer it to going abroad, we have been going there for over 20 years. the accommodation is very comfortable - we have stayed in all the lodges over the years and each one is of a similar high standard. It’s in a beautiful setting with tremendous views over the valley. It’s very peaceful and stress free. We love the animals especially as you are allowed to feed them with the small shop selling the correct food for each one. Damien who does the meet and greet is very friendly and helpful. We hope to holiday there for many years to come and who knows I may eventually figure out how the oven works

Everything about Airhouses is fantastic...the animals, the log cabin, the peace, the views, the welcome treats, the bed, the location. It's the first place in the UK I've stayed at where I've immediately booked to return again the following year. The walks around the immaculate farm are fantastic. Loved being able to buy animal feed in the small shop and feeding the donkeys, pygmy goats, shetland ponies etc

Airhouses was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.The lodge was spotless with absolutely everything you would need and a smashing welcome pack.The best shower ever and a lovely comfortable bed.Wonderful walks within the grounds, everything was so well thought out.The animals to feed were an added bonus,Dylan the donkey is a proper character .Dog friendly and our collie Mollie was welcomed and also loved her stay. We spent a very relaxing week at the Lodge. The location was very peaceful but not too far from the amenities of Lauder and the surrounding area. The views are outstanding. The lodge was comfortable and had all the required needs for self catering including an bbq although we did eat out at lunchtime on a few occasions. Recommend the Black Bull in Lauder and the Dragonfly cafe in Earlston - both dog friendly. The honesty shop on site is an excellent idea and we made use of it for snacks. We also preordered from the Spotty Dog deli for our arrival and that was super tasty. We wanted a relaxed and chilled week and we certainly were able to recharge our batteries. We were even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights! All in all a lovely week away and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back the next time we are holidaying in Scotland.

Having checked in using the code provided we were both surprised and delighted to also get a warm personal welcome. The cabin was super clean (5*'s are not enough!), toasty warm and really comfortable. We made us of their webordering service after we had arrived ... the order was delivered 15mins later! Great place to wander the tracks with plenty of interesting animals to entertain young and old alike... Highly recommended...

The location is simply fabulous, with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Damian was on hand to answer any of our questions and ensure we were settled in. Don't forget to visit the pop up Cafe on a Saturday morning for yummy hot drinks and milkshakes! We loved taking a walk around the farm and feeding the animals (very reasonable 25p per bag). We travelled as a couple and had a great time but Airhouses would also be brilliant for families.
