Located on Kauai's sunny south shore in Poipu, our beautifully remodeled one-bedroom, one-bath condominium sits just steps from the ocean. As a coveted bow unit that extends beyond the main building, you'll enjoy an even closer connection to the water and breathtaking, unobstructed panoramic views.
Kuhio Shores is unlike any other property on Kauai. Built remarkably close to the shoreline, you'll experience the sights, sounds, and fresh ocean breezes from sunrise to sunset. Watch surfers ride the famous breaks at P.K.'s, Centers, and Acid Drops, spot Hawaiian green sea turtles feeding along the reef, and, during the winter months, enjoy front-row seats to migrating humpback whales.
Two beautiful beaches are just a short walk away. Snorkel with tropical fish, swim in crystal-clear water, relax on golden sand, or simply soak in the beauty of Kauai's coastline. Our connection to Kuhio Shores began in 2007 during a trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. After visiting Hawaii many times, we decided to skip the traditional hotel and rent an oceanfront condo here instead. Within days, we knew this place was different. The beauty of the coastline, the soothing rhythm of the ocean, the warmth of the people, and the genuine aloha spirit captured our hearts. Before we left, we realized we no longer wanted to be just visitors—we wanted to become part of this extraordinary community.

The condo was clean and well equipped. The location was great and the view off the lanai was amazing! Definitely book this VRBO of you are looking for ocean front views! The host was awesome and communicated quickly.

We soaked up every moment of our 15‑day stay here. The full ocean view from the condo was the kind of sight that hits you right in the soul. Waking up to that endless blue felt like a gift. And at night, drifting off to the rhythm of the waves was pure therapy.This was our fourth visit to Kauai, and the island is just stunning every single time. Beaches, trails, ocean drives & beauty everywhere you look. After a long day exploring, coming back to our oceanfront condo was the perfect way to wind down. Opening the lanai door, hearing the waves, feeling that soft Kauai breeze… nothing beats it.The condo was spotless, comfortable, and easy to settle into. Check‑in was simple and stress‑free, and communication with the host was excellent. Quick, friendly, and helpful from start to finish.From our lanai we had front‑row seats to turtles cruising by, rainbows &surfers carving up the water like it was their personal playground. Coffee in hand, ocean breeze rolling through. It became our favorite daily ritual.Baby Beach, right by The Beach House restaurant (great for fine dining), was a highlight. We were lucky enough to see Hawaiian monk seals resting peacefully on the sand. Moments like that stay with you.And the nights? Unreal. The sky lit up with a galaxy of stars. The kind you only see far from city lights.This place delivered everything we hoped for and more. Beautiful, relaxing, memorable. A stay you appreciate long after you’ve unpacked your bags. A forever memory.

The ocean is so close. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the sea turtles and the surfers. The sound of waves crashing lulls you to sleep. The condo and property are a little older, but well kept. The condo was FULLY stocked with anything you’d need inside or outside. The entire process was very easy. We were very pleased with the whole experience.
