The apartment is at the 2° floor of a Florentine building from the 1700s, located in the vibrant San Lorenzo neighborhood. Coming here, guests still can appreciate the typical characteristics of an ancient Florentine house: terracotta floors and exposed wooden beams.
It is less than 100m away from the Santa Maria Novella central train station, and it can be reached in few minutes from the "A. Vespucci" Florence airport by taking the local tramway (line T2 – stop: “Piazza dell’Unità italiana”).
All main attractions are just few steps away: 5 minutes walking from the Cathedral as well as the chapels were the Medici family was buried; 10 minutes from the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Laura and her son were very helpful after a long day of travel, her son carried our luggage up to the apartment for us, it was a perfect welcome with cookies and coffee compliments waiting for us the next morning. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, all kitchen needs, laundry, good wi fi and perfect location close to train, tram, grocery, and city sites, we couldn’t have needed anything more. I would definitely stay again.

Laura was a very gracious host, and made us feel at home right away. The apartment was immaculate and very central to everything. It was well equipped with everything necessary for a tired group of travellers including a moka pot! Our only regret is that we didn't book more nights here. Our host gave us tips, and we were able to make a delicious dinner with wine our last night. 11 out of 10.

Great location and host was very friendly. It wasn’t clear to me when booking though that the layout only supports sleeping and little else. This should be a one bedroom apartment but living room furniture has been replaced with 3 single beds. The result is a space that doesn’t really function for a family. There’s a tv and wicker chair awkwardly placed in the foyer but don’t let the listing mislead you about the amenities. Also, some of the mattresses need to be replaced. We found a new home on day 1 and did not receive a partial refund. The move was worth it though because staying here would have ruined our trip.
