The Farm once owned by Thomas Jefferson has close proximity to 14 wineries (15 minutes) 15 breweries/cideries (15 minutes) town (12 minutes) Monticello (next door neighbor) Rivanna River (borders the farm) Carter Mountain (8 minutes) Clifton Inn (2 minutes) and many other close by activities.

Wonderful remote setting yet just minutes away from all of the treats of Charlottesville. This was our 2nd time staying at this property and won't be our last.

Cosy spot on a beautiful ranch. Close to town and very close to Monticello. Did not have a chance to meet the owner as he was out of town but his communication was great! Enjoyed the use of the hot tub and enjoyed the firefly show after dark. Would definitely stay there again when in the Charlottesville area. Thanks Steve!

Steven is very uptight about his property, one of the reasons he cites is his "privacy" - he was uncomfortable with the prospect of my 67 y/o mother and father visiting the property for drink on the patio of the cottage - an objectively benign activity. The property is beautiful and the cottage was clean but he's slow and inconsistent with the check in and check out information. He neglected to send us the check in information and his check out information was not posted on the property page of the reservation and instead was tucked at the bottom of the check-in email. For what he's charging, he made it a lot of work and is very particular about his services.
