About this lodge
Bald Eagle Lodge is a newly built custom home designed from top-to-bottom to enable you to relax, refresh and reconnect with those you care about most.
This 5 bedroom / 4 bath 3500 sq ft home prioritizes the communal spaces while including cozy separate spaces for a quiet moment to unwind. Sit on the hearth and take in the crackle from the large fireplace. Marvel at the view and wildlife through the massive windows. Share a late-night conversation on the deck will taking in the breathtaking stars. Relax in the hot tub while watching the sunset on the mountains. Curl up and take in a movie in the family room theater after a day of adventure. Stay cozy on a long winter night with radiant heated floors on the lower level and master bathroom.
One of our favorite families activities is to eat wonderful food together. The well-appointed kitchen includes am Italian made pro-style Bertazzoni 5 burner gas range, two dishwashers so that you can get back to enjoying your family, a large fridge, lots of tools (including cocktail tools) and much more. Enjoy the Weber gas BBQ grill on the deck off the dining room (seasonally).
Nested on 12 acres, the lodge was designed to enjoy the beauty of it's one-of-a-kind Baldy Mountain location including spectacular views of Lake Pend Oreille and mountain ranges beyond. Every window was strategically placed to bring the outside in- including maximizing the natural light year round from the full southern exposure perch. Take in deer, moose, wild turkeys, coyotes, bear and bird watching from hummingbirds to hawks and eagles. The beautifully landscaped yard includes a 7-person hot tub, a large gas fire put to roast smores on, horse shoe pits, a swing and plenty of room for yard games. Enjoy a walk to through the mountain forest with glades of birch, lark, pine, cedar and fir. Fall colors are breathtaking. In Winter, the snow can get 2-5' deep enabling wonderful snowshoeing (8 pairs provided) and multiple slide courses ranging from 100’ to 1/2 mile+ long (several sleds provided).
We tried to take every detail into account when we designed, build and furnished this home for our family to get out of the chaos of life and create moments together. We hope it also enables you to get away from the busyness of life, slow down a bit, rejuvenate your spirit and more than anything connect more deeply with those you love while enjoying the wonders of North Idaho nature.
Private yet convenient - Bald Eagle Lodge is just 10 minutes from Downtown Sandpoint and 25-35 minutes from Schweitzer Mountain ski resort. Other nearby amenities include The Idaho Club (a Jack Nicolson Golf Course), the Pine Street Woods 180-acre multiuse trail system, several local disc golf courses (the closest one down the road) as well as the Sandpoint Outdoor Shooting Range.
WINTER BOOKINGS: This home is amazing in the winter, and winter conditions make access to this home somewhat unpredictable. Winter guests must have 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles and be competent in driving in all weather conditions. While the shared community road and private driveway will be maintained and plowed on a regular route, snowy and icy conditions will exist, and we recommend being prepared for all driving conditions. If you are unfamiliar with driving in snow and ice, please do not book our property Dec-Early March.

Stayed at this wonderful place over Thanksgiving with family. This place was so comforting we settled right in and had a great time! Couldn't beat waking up to the beautiful views every morning. Having Thanksgiving there was easy as the kitchen is very well stocked with all the cookware you would need and even extra needs were met. Everyone slept well as the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was a great bonus along with the ping pong table. And my granddaughter had her first sled ride with a sled that was provided. The host was very responsive when questions asked. We look forward to coming back and soaking in everything this place has to offer!

We had a wonderful stay at this Sandpoint VRBO! It was by far the most well-stocked rental we’ve ever stayed in—every kitchen item, toiletry, and extra you might need was thoughtfully provided. Everything in the home was clearly labeled, so we never had to wonder where anything was, which made settling in effortless. The host was incredibly responsive and made communication a breeze. The location is peaceful and scenic, and we loved spotting wildlife on the drive to and from the property. This home truly goes above and beyond—we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Can’t speak highly enough about our stay. The family enjoyed the property so much. Kids enjoyed exploring and the parents loved the view and hot tub! The easy access to town made it enjoyable to feel secluded but quiet access to Sandpoint. House was as described and very clean.

Absolutely Wonderful light filled dream house . It’s huge and grand. Excellent spacious floor plan that allows for nice separation and privacy. House sits in a beautiful quiet setting. No neighbors. Incredible view through Giant windows. Thoroughly equipped kitchen.. they even had kids dinnerware . Super comfy beds/linens. 25 min drive to ski. Perfect spot for a 3 generation gathering. We plan to return.
