The Silverwood Lodge

Close to Silverwood. Clean. Comfortable bed. Nice fridge that accommodated all our ice packs. Ample charging outlets. Big sink. Spacious shower. Close to good food Iron Pizza and Lou's. The owner lives next door which makes it feel secure.

There wasn't a bathroom lock but that's just a minor repair needed. I have no doubt the owner will take care of it.

Nice clean, modern room. Friendly staff.

On the expensive side, considering it's just a room. The name is a little deceptive, since it's a few miles away from the theme park. Train tracks were noisy at night.

The check-in process was awesome. I received a text message that morning with all of the pertinent information, including the code to my unit. Partway through our stay, one of the property managers checked in to see if we needed additional towels or anything which was great. He was super friendly and we talked with him for a bit about things to do in the area. If you stay here, you have to eat at The Country Boy Cafe, it is delicious and only a block away. Everything was clean, looked like it had been recently updated, and the beds were super comfy.

The only thing that I wasn't prepared for is that there are train tracks not too far away. I sleep really hard so it wasn't an issue but my husband mentioned that he heard them a couple of times during the night. The lodge did provide ear plugs in our room though and we didn't notice anything after the first night.

5min from Silverwood theme park but this hotel isn’t apart of the park. Nice and clean. The QR code outside the building to get ahold of people doesn’t work. Locals told us that they just remodeled but it’s not connected to the park in anyway.

Shower floor is slippery, my MIL fell just standing. Didn’t have enough toilet paper had to buy some.
