About this villa rental
This villa has a total of 4 bedrooms (1 on the ground floor) with 2 single beds each with luxury mattresses. The rooms have large fitted wardrobes and all rooms on the first floor have a balcony. The villa has 3 bathrooms, 2 with luxury shower panel and 1 with bath / shower. The spacious living room with fantastic views is modernly furnished and equipped with LCD TV and DVD / CD / radio player (with USB and I-Pod connection). There is also a wireless internet connection available for a fee. The kitchen is fully equipped and equipped with all modern conveniences such as a gas hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle and coffee maker (Senseo). All windows are equipped with shutters. The entire villa also has underfloor heating. The spacious garage under the villa can accommodate two cars. In addition, there is a closed parking area at the villa for residents of this small-scale project of 5 houses.
The garden: Casa da Lagoa has a spacious garden around the villa with both sun and shade areas. In the back garden is the 8 by 4 meter swimming pool with breathtaking views of the ocean and the mountain landscape. The terraces are equipped with sun beds, a lounge set, a picnic table and a dining table. A bbq is of course also available!
In the evening you can enjoy the most fantastic sunsets in a wonderful climate. Due to its high location near the ocean, you will find very healthy, clean air here.
The surrounding area: The luxury villa is the perfect base for exploring this beautiful Portuguese region that is rich in nature, culture, art, sports and entertainment. You will also find all the conveniences of large supermarkets (which are often open late into the evening and on Sunday mornings), shops, bars, restaurants nearby.
Do you want to go to the beach? Then you have plenty of choice! Within 15 minutes by car you can reach beautiful idyllic bays, kilometers of sandy beaches or the quiet lagoon in Foz do Arelho. Just what you want! Pay a visit to the bay of Sao Martinho do Porto with its many wonderful (fish) restaurants or the fashionable fishing town of Peniche. The very touristy and famous resort of Nazaré can be reached in 30 minutes.
Places of interest: The neighboring town of Obidos with its ancient fortress walls is definitely worth a visit. And not too far from Sobral da Lagoa you will also find the other "miracles of Portugal": Alcobaca and Fatima. With its many historic buildings and modern shopping center, Caldas da Rainha is the main city for the Obidos region. You will still find authentic Portugal in this region. No overcrowded tourist cities and beaches, but enjoying the beautiful culture and nature and the very friendly population that makes Portugal so unique.
You can reach Lisbon from the villa within 45 minutes, and Porto within approximately 2.5 hours. Both well worth a visit. Although Lisbon is the closest airport, arriving at Porto is certainly an option. Especially because of the cheaper flights.
Within 15 minutes you are at the exclusive golf courses of Praia do Bom Sucesso and Praia del Rey. And as an avid water sports enthusiast you will also find plenty of opportunities in the vicinity for surfing and sailing.

Everything was as described and there was even more than expected inside, which helped us to relax in the pool even longer All of the bedrooms, bathrooms and other spaces were sparkling clean. We would definitely visit again in the future. The location is very peaceful and the locals were all friendly too. There are many amenities (10-15 minutes) and places/beaches (15-30 minutes) to visit within good a good driving distance and plenty more if you want to venture out further. Paul, the property manager, was great. I had trouble finding the villa and ended up at the bottom of the village rather than at the top. Paul took time out of his day to come and find us so we could follow him to where we needed to be Thank you all!

The House is spectacular. Modern architecture with stunning views. My only complaint is that there is an enormous amount of flies. There was an infestation and although It was breezy and cool outside we could not leave the Windows open. Mosquito nets or screens should be considered for the figure.

We all seven enjoyed very much the stay in the little village Sobral da Lagoa visiting e.g. the Lourinha Dino Park (fantantic), the beautiful Atlantic shore towns/villages Nazaré, Peniche, Baleal with its amazing rocks, Sao Martinho do Porto and opposite to it over the bay Salir do Porto and the very beautiful Foz do Arelho. And of course we visited Óbidos a couple of times as well as Caldas da Reinha. At the villa most afternoons were spent in the swimming pool or by it at the terrace with the beautiful view to the Lagoa do Óbidos and over the fields.We had two marvelous weeks in Portugal and look forward to traveling there again!

The villa matched the expectations
Great pool, kitchen well equipped, barbacue,
The rooms are large and the beds comfortable.
It’s located 10 minutes drive from Óbidos and +/- 20 minutes from the beach (Foz do arelho, praia del Rey, etc)
The neighborhood it’s quiet, it’s perfect to relax while enjoying family vacations
